Would Famicom/NES Light Gun Games Work On A Commodore Monitor

I have an old Commodore monitor that I was using for a Commodore 64 in the 80's. I know from a Game Center CX video on You Tube that you can hook up an NES system to it to play games. What I was wondering was if you could play Famicom or NES Light Gun games on it. I'm waiting for a Famicom Twin that I got from someone on this Forum, and I know it has A/V hookups as well. If I used it as a monitor for my Famicom Twin and had someone make me a Famicom to NES controller adapter for my Light Gun, would it be a CRT monitor that would let me use my gun and Power Glove? Just wondering, as I'd rather not have to buy another TV if I have what I need already.

since the commodore monitors are standard 15khz crt screens I don't see why a lightgun would not work... it will be 99,9% a sure thing

AFAIK the only reason they don't work on flat screens is because they're matt finsih and not reflective enough, so I would assume any CRT would work.

Another reason they don't work on non CRT's is upscale delay.  Remember in Famicom/NES lightgun games on trigger pull it's BlackFrame check, Hitbox 1 check, Hitbox 2 check.  If the screen is delayed as in with upscalers, checks will be out of sync and fail.
I don't know how to fox. D:

Nevermind. While I still have my original NES, even though it's a glorified paperweight, my uncle threw out my Commodore monitor because the computer didn't work YEARS ago! Bummer!

Yes, light gun games will work just fine. I used an NES on a Commodore 1702 for years.

If you can find one, pick it up - those Commodore monitors are *fantastic* for gaming. Very clear, sharp picture, and they also accept separate chroma/luma (s-video). Quite possibly the nicest little monitors you could have, save for a true studio monitor.
