Megaman games you don't like?

Alrighty, let's do another series on this topic...

I love Megaman games, even though they are hard as dried shit sometimes. I was REALLY sad when Legends 3 was cancelled and I'm still bitter at Capcom about it. But there have been a couple of Megaman games that I didn't like too much.

*Megaman 8 - So annoying, especially the JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE sections...
*Megaman X8 - Like Megaman 8, annoying... the graphics were a step down from X7(which I liked actually), the jetbike stage sucked, the Sigma stage with spikes all over the walls was impossible, one stage has an escape scene after beating a boss which I just find annoying.. plus Lumine is a twit compared to Sigma, and they kind of wasted Vile's return.
*The PC games of MM1 and MM3... I don't need to say anything I think.
*Megaman on GameGear is pretty lame

And I'd like to say that the Megaman games on Gameboy while pretty good suffer from a couple of things, the sprites are big but the levels feel small and cramped, megamans lifebar is short, and whenever there's 2 enemies or so the games slow down to a crawl.. does that happen when played on a real cartridge? Unfortunately I've only played them on emulator. I wish Megaman V on GB would be remade...

Don't feel sad that ML3 was canned, the project was a mess and it was never going to come out anyway without years of work, it was a zombie of a game.  The whole fan involvement was because they didn't have any levels to move forward with at that stage even.  It is a sad story but not an unusual one as I've seen and heard it multiple times.

As for released games, I really enjoyed MM8, it's one of my favourites, up with RM&Forte

I used to dislike 7, but now I see the error of my ways :) it has an ugly charm I think that is now retro charm.

I don't like the X games that much, apart from 4 and 5.
I Never played the SNES ones as a kid so they look and sound a bit ugly to me.
The character designs I'm really not keen on, despite loving Zero and X.  Sigma and Gate are ridiculous.

Best Rockman games I think are the NES 2,1,3,6,4,5

I'm not really geen on the GB1,2,3 games and I don't like Wily Wars either on Megadrive.

I have to be honest and say I'm not a fan of the DS Ryusei games at all, nor the Legends series to be honets, but I'm going to give those another try on my PSP, now that the Playstation has a retro charm factor and doesn't just look badly dated.

I've liked all of the Mega Man games I've played, but 1) I've only played a fraction of them, virtually all old-school and 2) I'm pretty much a MM fanboy.

The classic series on NES are all fantastic. They're the ones I grew up with, and all six are among the best games in the NES catalog as far as I'm concerned.

I also got Mega Man X while I was still in my teens. In fact, I pretty much bought an SNES (when they were on clearance at a game store, at their rock-bottom of popularity) just so I could continue playing Mega Man games. Mega Man X was a huge evolution for the series. I loved all the hidden powerups. I've since picked up X2 and X3; I beat X2 within two days of buying it from nightstar here. It's very solid, but not as innovative as the first one. X3 I've barely played so far; I bought it before X2, and really wanted to play through X2 first. (And I've been busy with other things, so a two-day marathon with it is still on the back burner.)

I've also picked up the five GB games, and played them a bit on my Super Game Boy. The first couple are a bit clunky compared to the NES ones, but they did get better as the series went on. I like how they kind of throw a mix of robot masters at  you from different games. Kind of makes me wish for fan games that did more of that.

I also picked up Mega Man Legends on PS1 several years ago. Very different than the classic and X series, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Any Mega Man on NES and SNES is golden, except Mega Man soccer, that was kind of gimmicky. I feel like the X series died with X4, anything after that,  I don't feel it was as good.

Maverick Hunter X on PSP is good remake of X1 with some nice new bonuses like an alternate story line that I wont spoil.

Legends series, never played nor the GBA RPG games.

Also the Wii Ware games are good too as well as Mega Man X Street Fighter for PC.

I think X2 is my favorite.

Edit: Miswrote Virtual Console for Wii Ware

I've also got Rockboard for the Famicom, and it's pretty cool. I'll need to print out translations of the menus, but I'm looking forward to spending more time with this game.

I also have Mega Man 8 (PS1), and I've played up to Wily's Castle (although it was several years ago). I generally remember liking the game, aside from the goofy Mega Ball ability and the annoying voice acting. So, MM8 might be my least liked Mega Man game.

But again, I've avoided all the other spinoff series that have mostly come to Nintendo's handhelds. Some of those only sound like Capcom using an established brand to sell unrelated gameplay, but honestly none of the other spinoff series have interested me.

I really don't like Megaman Legends, that game was such a disappointment.

The PC games, although that goes without saying. The Game Boy version of Megaman II was disappointing as well; the soundtrack was awful and the game felt too easy as compared to the rest of the Game Boy games.

I really liked the GBA .EXE games, but they're quite different.  The GameCube one was really great.

If it's any consolation, there's a fan translation by the alias Interordi, if you got an N8 it might be a more convenient and enjoyable playthrough. once i beat Mother 1, definitely gonna play this.

In a way it feels like a cross between mario party and monopoly

@Mag

I would buy an NES repro before I did that. It'd be a cool one to have on a physical cart.
