Are you saying you (or someone else) took the adapter out of a Gyromite cart? It will certainly fit into at least the older style NES shells. I don't know if the insides were changed in the mold later on, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

As far as what it's worth, I'm not sure about just the insides. On eBay, it's not unusual for those common adapter carts (Gyromite, Excitebike, Hogan's Alley) complete to fetch $15-25ish. The most valuable part is definitely the adapter, of course, though some people like to make repros or converter carts and are probably paying something for that shell as well. Some variant collectors actually buy them and keep them intact, too.

If you just want 60-72 pin adapters you can buy from Krikzz http://shop.retrogate.com/Famicom-To-NES-adapter-FTNES.htm. They are made to work with the Famicom version of the everdrive so they should even have the two extra sound pins properly connected (unlike pretty much all other adapters in existence).
But I'm not sure he have NES shells (Paul at Infiniteneslives said that Krikzz is using donor shells for his everdrive NES version). It sounded like Paul has reproduced NES shells though I'm not sure he sells them separately from his INL-boards, you could try asking him http://infiniteneslives.com/index.php.
