My nefpew ask me this question I couldn't answer..Why was the tracks on the SNES/GBA Mario Kart was Flat..
Because it used the SNES' Graphics mode 7 to create 3D. Mode 7 allows you to take a flat texture and rotate/scale it in such a way to give the illusion of depth and perspective. So the race tracks are flat drawings 3D-ized by the SNES video hardware.
Thanks....So it couldn't draw a track like on the N64
With later enhancements, the snes was able to draw 3d polygons (star fox) but at the time, it wasn't possible.
Is there like a Track Editor for Super Mario Kart..I want to see if it's possible to make a Wii Track on the SNES

??? ??? ???
Talk about a useless editor. It edits the tracks, but the AI still acts as though the tracks haven't changed. It would be impossible to lose. :P
hahah no way well hopefully later versions will enable some AI edit
here one more http://www.romhacking.net/utils/194/ (http://www.romhacking.net/utils/194/)
Thanks..I'll bet it won't be hard to make GBA tracks
