So yesterday I was able to find Gradius and Boku Dracula kun for the famicom. So I am pretty hyped to add those to my games, and for cheap! The same store also has Castlevania 2 for the disk system. This however is marked high, but perhaps less than other places? At 2,000 or 2,500 yen. Unsure if it has the manual but it seems so since its in case, etc. Do you think its worth it? My biggest problem is that I never pay that much for a game usually and also the fact that there could be the chance that it has been overwritten by another game. (Like my Zelda 1 disc was but I didnt know until after purchase)

Castlevania and Castlevania 2 are two of the most consistently expensive games for the FDS, it's pretty easy to tell if it has the manual, either it's in a plastic caddy containing the manual and the disk with case, or it's just the disk with case.  Complete, 2000-2500 is a good price.

Unless it is a DW version, in which case it came with a folded paper manual. I'm mostly certain that 'Dracula II' was a DW release, as was the first game. I have a pile of 'Akumajou Dracula' disks, some sealed, some loose, some DW, and 'Dracula II' is far less common.

The FDS version has better music, and better gameplay (e.g. the day-to-night transitions take and last longer), plus it has a three-game save feature. If you haven't played an English version, I advise you that 'Dracula II: Nori no Fuin'  is a quasi-RPG, and is very text-heavy. The NP 'Strategy Guide' for the English release could end up being your best-friend if you decide to play this, and you need to play fast! The ending depends on the total number of day-to-night transitions, and I think you need to win in under one week or one month for the good ending.  :bomb:

P.S. Agreed, that is a very good price.
