What type of Scaler do you use?

I use a Key Digital scaler, model VPHD2, but mine's the silver iSync Pro version.

I looked up the price on one of those :o

I think I'll just stick with my CRT tv.

Emulators on PC + HDTV = Awesome

A couple of months I played NES on my HDTV and it looked great, I just connected it with an RF cable, nothing fancy.

By RF cable, it's this: http://www.nextd.co.uk/images/products/rf_cable.jpg

That's cool and all, but I don't emulate.

If you don't emulate then you can't expect great results then.

Yeah... I don't even really like playing games on my Wii's VC. There just something about the feel of the original controller in your hand you know :gamer:

The only problem is without a decent scaler they all look like grab.

I own one of these I use for my Wii: http://www.amazon.com/Component-video-YPbPr-Converter-Up-scale/dp/B0016SN49Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1345358267&sr=8-2&keywords=vga+upscaler

But you do really get what you pay for, it only upscales to 720p and my retro consoles don't even have a viable way to hook up to the VGA or Component inputs. I'd even have to get some sort of scart to VGA adapter if I were going to use it with my SNES/Genesis.

I use the GameCube to NES port cables to use real NES controllers on my Wii through FCEUGX. What's nice is the ability to have save states and play all roms, even FDS.

I actually have an snes/Nes adapter to use on the wii... except the Nes port is obviously the same kinda plug you would use for a genesis controller. That is false advertising right there.

I have the NES & SNES kind from RetroUSB.com. They work great.

The newer ones, come with a cord that allows you to use NES controllers as well. But if you don't mind the corded option, I second the RetroUSB GC port NES and SNES adapters

I don't have a newer one though, so I still feel like.they weren't being honest with me.
