I've seen a few brown Famicom carts, like this one, does anyone know any of the actual published games for Famicom that were brown?

Some brown ones (via bootgod):

Challenger
Igo: Kyuu Roban Taikyoku
Law of the West
Ninja Hattori-kun: Ninja wa Shuugyou de Gozaru no Maki
Ultima: Seija e no Michi

VinylDracula

For a Grey cart: Jesus Bio Monster, and it works with most Rockman 2 hacks, etc..  for repros...

Shame if people are butchering J.E.S.U.S. carts for repros :(

Its unplayable if you dont know Japanese. Also fairly common. Id gladly chop one up (which I did) to make a Rockman No Constancy repro  :D

I have quite a few cartridges without any label, and I have decided to try making custom labels for them, but I have some questions about it.

1) What program is the best to use for designing custom labels?
2) What should be the correct size of the picture?
3) What settings should be for printing that label you have made?

1. Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe InDesign.
2. Measure the label, set to 600 dpi (or 300).
3. This depends on your printer, but set the PSD/IDD file to CMYK mode.

Heres a cart I just finished for a customer. He wanted a repro cart for Super Mario Bros. Special. But I couldn't find a famicom game with a SAROM pcb. So I took his NES repro with a nes to famicom adapter and fit it into a large famicom shell. Worked out great.

Whoa, I had no idea Special has been fan-ported to Famicom. I would assume it scrolls? Does it have the Special-exclusive enemies and items included?

I have an NES repro as well, but mine may not be the same ROM as the one pictured. Mine is an SMB rom-hacked to have the SMB Special level design. So yes, mine scrolls. I say this may not be the same, because the graphics in mine are exactly the same as the original SMB (and Mario seems to be wearing the alternately-colored clothes from the original SMB Special in the screenshot).

I became inspired by Ryo's and RainLink's label for this game.

No but I'm having repro work done

L___E___T

Ahhh, me too.  I might be able to get something done, but I don't believe there is any JP art to use as a base is there?
