I'm not sure what a "good" price is on that, but I know I've seen it sell on eBay for less than that.

EvLloyd

Ah ok...Thanks you for that, the missus will be pleased I'm not spending the cash! ;D

I once sold one for a little less than their starting bid. True, they may be cheap in Japan if you find it there, but it isn't that easy to come by. And calculate with expensive shipping from abroad (Japan, US).
If I remember correctly the hyper shot can also be used as a normal lightgun (for duck hunt, hogan's alley and wild gunman). The normal light gun is also a hard accessory to find so you'll save on that.
The Hyper Shot has a built in microphone for sound effects. It is pretty cool actually.

Plus it has a d-pad doesn't it?  I know you can't play Space Shadow without it anyway.

I don't remember. :( Are you sure you can't play space shadow without d-pad if you have a lightgun?

It didn't work when I tried it, but that was some time afgo - my memory could be fuzzy.

I think you would use your normal 1-player controller, in case you need a controller. The lightgun is just a lightgun.

Gonna give it another go, I'm sure I tried taht and it didn't work.  The Hyper Shot does have an up/down button on it though as well, so not sure if it counts as a special peripheral.

vs. excitebike (fds version). who knows how much is it worth?

So I recently found out a game I had a bought is kinda rare. It's Janken Disk Shiro, which is an RPG that features Disk Kun as the protagonist. This was also the last game to come out for the FDS in 1992.

I have it with the labels on both sides and the game works. There is no cover art with it, and there might not be any released. This game was only released with Famimaga Magazine and the Disk Writer kiosks.

I'm thinking of selling it for $150+. Is this too much? Too little?

UglyJoe

I paid $5 for my loose copy a couple of years ago.  It's probably worth more than $5, but $150 has got to be too much for it.

around 25$ complete in box, I'd say...
15$ if it only has the front cover
maybe 7$ if only disk with labels...
The game is relatively easy to sell because it it playable FDS-exclusive in a well known series.

Original labels I suppose?
You need to find a buyer and it will only be someone who collects all FDS games because no one will pay 100$ for its playing value. Not many people collect a full FDS set. I think you should be happy if you get 50$.

Yes it has the original labels. That's what I was thinking, since it is a japanese RPG, which are a dime a dozen on the famicom...  :P

Does anyone know how many of these games were made? As well as the other 5 volumes of Famimaga disks?

Just nitpicking here, but it's really more of a puzzle game than an RPG.  Very much playable.

How much is this Castlevania 1 worth?
