I beat Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun: Bangai Rantou Hen and Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku: Dokodemo Daiundoukai on the Gameboy yesterday. I really enjoyed Koushinkyoku, more so than the Famicom version actually.

Today I also completed Bikkuri Nekketsu Shinkiroku: Dokodemo Kin Medal. It wasn't bad, but buttonmashing on the Gameboy doesn't work all that well. Had to buy a few more items than usual to compensate. Also my favourite event from the Famicom version, the Swimming Battle Royale, is not in the game. Instead there's this Umbrella game that hasn't got nearly the same amount of strategy involved. But all in all not a bad game.

Edit: Beat Nekketsu Koukou Soccer Bu: World Cup Hen on Gameboy earlier today. Very hard game in the last few matches, I figured out a pretty solid strategy though.

That's all the Gameboy Nekketsu games completed! :)

Metroid famicom disk version ported to a cart by kaiser. Odd thing I found out about this version is after you die or travel to a new area all power ups respawn energy tanks and missiles but when you die you still keep all the power ups you collected.

I beat two games for the first time today: Magic Carpet 1001 (FC; off the Asder 20-in-1; I think I even no-deathed it) and Star Trek: 20th Anniversary (NES).

Ganbare Goemon - Sarawareta Ebisumaru on Gameboy again. Love this game, it's pretty hard but very rewarding. Echigo and especially Michinoku always gets me tense with the very precise platforming needed.

Adam & Eve from the Asder 20-in-1. It's a mediocre Balloon Fight clone without any kind of ending. But hey, it was an easy point for the Nintendo Age challenge.

Castlevania nes took no damage in the great hall axe armors go down with one holy water if you hit them just right.

Captain America and the Avengers (NES)

I was stuck on the final boss fight against Red Skull for hours. I had to keep my poor NES on for almost 12 hours straight while I continued to grind on this game, since this is one of those games that has to be beaten in one sitting. It's a good thing that you can endlessly farm extra continue powerups in-game.

Just completed a no-death run of Ninja Gaiden. Not even Jaquio's second form was a match for me this time.

So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

Parody world monster party ending is the same except for the text.

I just beat Golgo-13: Top Secret Episode (NES) for the first time.

The maze sections are pretty annoying, so I used maps on GameFAQs to navigate them. (I also needed the FAQ to tell me about a couple of hidden doors in the action stages.) Definitely cryptic in places, but a decent effort gameplay-wise and exceptionally deep on the storytelling by NES standards.

A NO-DEATH run on Ninja Gaiden?! Holy crap! I knew you were a platforming beast, but that's ridiculous even for you.

I just beat Bare Knuckle 3 with the best ending.  Easy mode, mind.  Didn't lose a life until the second to last boss.

Ahh thank you, but it's nothing. I've no-deathed in the past, it's just... the previous time I played Ninja Gaiden, I failed pretty miserably (I got frustrated and was forced to use a continue), so this was like a nice redemption playthrough for me. Also, I just got done with Darkwing Duck on NES, still love that game.
