Family Basic Problem

Pls help me.
What it need?
First key stroke reacts the cartrige. But then only message cycle.
Can somebody translate? Is the keyboard broken?

There's a switch on the front of the Family Basic cartridge.  Switch it to the other position and try again.

As UJ said, the RAM is locked.
