It was just announced the other day that Club Nintendo is going to be ending very soon. You can only register games until March and redeem your coins/stars for game downloads and prizes before June. Also, some new physical prizes will be added in February. These will be the last prizes, let's hope they're good. No paper prizes, hopefully they will be fabric cases or actual accessories or controllers or something. Or they could bring back some of their classic old prizes. I'm going to be checking the site every day to see when they add prizes because I know these things will sell out in a day.

Europeans have until April 1st to register their Wii U game codes on Club Nintendo and then on September 30 it's the final day to use up the points.

I have about 9k points and yet I've not really bought anything because it's mostly just junk that I couldn't careless. Nintendo stated that by February they'll be adding new content and games to Club Nintendo but I hope they'll be worth it.

Japanese Club Nintendo is discontinuing too, and the Swedish one disappeared years ago. In America you apparently get Flip Studio 3D free download code. Wasn't that program free to download to begin with?

It's sad you can't keep the coins & transfer it to the new system

And as of now the Club Nintendo Store is under maintenance which sucks so I can't see what's available.

There's the Mario Galaxy Soundtrack CD so I might get that in case nothing better shows up.

In North America's store, the only physical prizes are Mario or Nintendogs Greeting/Birthday cards....

There's nothing new (I looked yesterday) but I was going to maybe get the pouches for some Nintendo handhelds or just trade them in for the download points if stuck for options.

I already got the best item they ever offered, but I'm HOPING there's something else new and grand they might upload...

Funny, the site was under maintenence when using Chrome on my laptop, but it was completely normal when looking it up in Safari on my iPhone...  ??? Filling out surveys on a tiny touchscreen was a pain. Somehow I wouldn't be surprised it the site remained broken on desktop browsers and only continued to work on mobile.  :-[

They've added more Mario Golf Balls.

I don't quite get who exactly that's intended for, besides Mario Golf fans and Nintendo Golf fans that's about it. It's a crappy item to order for 4k points.

And what would that be? The G&W Ball reproduction? That was pretty sweet. The G&W Collections were cool too, but the actual G&W was superior by far.

It was this, at least for Europe - the golden Link on Epona statue, it was 15K points I think.

Sad thing is, I went to enter all my codes yesterday and at least half had already expired - that's right, there's a 'best before' date on the actual code itself, even before you've registered.

I wish I got the Game & Watch Ball when it came out. I'm kicking myself all the time. Also I want the Luigi 3DS XL case with Year of Luigi Puzzle, but it's $80+ on ebay. However, I recently won a gold Classic Controller Pro on ebay the other day for $20. That Super Famicom Classic Controller is still on my wish list though! I don't understand why Nintendo never sold these controllers in store.

You can buy all the stuff you want on eBay, I grabbed the EU and JP SNES Wii controllers, some other bits like the Game&Watch Ball, the Love Tester that was sold elsewhere and various bits over the years.  I'm annoyed I didn't register these games though, I probably would've been invited to buy the Ambassador 3DS if so and they wouldn't have expired either.  DANG son.

I had no idea the codes themselves expired! I've definitely entered some old ones in before. I wonder what the cut-off date is from the point they're manufactured. What if you get a code in a game that's just old stock, though? It seems silly they would make an expiration date. My friend found a box of Club Nintendo codes in a house he was helping clean a few months ago and just entered the codes last week and most of them worked. The ones that didn't were simply already claimed.
