I wanted to say Hello to everyone, I just found this group/forum about the FDS and I am very happy to be here and be part of the group and read all the post, I am now reading all the old post and learning a lot.

I have recently got back in to 'retro gaming' I have a few systems:

Nintendo AV Famicom & NES Top Loader
Nintendo Wii (I mainly use for playing GameCube Games)
Sega Genesis
Sega Saturn
Sega Dreamcast
NeoGeo Consolized MVS
PCEngine
Consolized GBA

I dont have a large amount of original carts most of my machines are using Multicarts or Optical Disk Replacements, I live in a condo so space is at a premium.

I really do like having physical FDS stuff though, so far I have about 50 disk about 40 or so are BOXED, and the rest are ones that I dont think had a retail boxed release.

I did make my own sleeves for those see a follow up post for images of those sleeves.

So here is some photos as everyone like photos:

I wish my desktop could be that tidy.

Looks like a gscartswitch, those are expensive but said to not interfere with output quality too much.
I'm told American TVs never have SCART (and seldom any other kind of jacks for 15 kHz RGBs), yet SCART cables are very common. Are they only used for Framemeister or OSSC?

The switch was primarily made for EU SCART connection and only XRGB setups at the time as the OSSC was still in its infancy when it was produced. He made two versions: one wired for EU SCART and another in a lot less quantity for JP21 (which is what I and probably OP has). Prior to all the HDMI mods out there, the best picture was strictly through RGB mods and SCART/JP21 cables. I have the same setup and it's perfect. The gscartw is like it's not even there.

OP, love FDS too. You're my kinda guy. The Diskwriter inserts are awesome. Your setup is nice, concise and effecient. A+ to the consolized MVS with the Neo SD. Hefty option but as good as you can possibly get.

If you haven't found this site, you definitely should. Language barrier but Translate works wonders:

Also, cat. Get off FDS, lol.

Nice cable management! :o

Thank you I had the cabinet made with this 5" false back just so I could hide the wires.

Yes I am using a gSCART you are correct it is connected to an OSSC (if you look in the photo below the gSCART you will see it behind the cable loops).  I started out with the Hydra Mini - I out grew it and it made audio noise when scanning, I went to a Hydra but it would not lock onto the WiiDual RGB for some reason, I then went to a gSCART lite, it too would not lock onto the WiiDual RGB either, so I ended up talking to EVERYONE involved - I was told that the gSCART 5.2 would do what I needed, and it did.  SO its a gSCART 5.2 with a LaserBear wall mount kit install.

Yes all of my machine are either RGB modded or already had RGB and I am utilizing it via a SCART cable:

Nintendo Wii - is using a WiiDual
Nintendo AV Famicom has a NESRGB w/ NEWRGB-IGR installed
PCE is using a Super SD adapter with the AV upgrade board and a Sega2 SCART cable
Sega Saturn - no mods already has RGB factory
Sega Dreamcast - no modes for A/V just SCART cable
Sega Genesis - Triple Bypass installed to clean up the RGB with Sega2 din to SCART cable
NeoGeo MVS Consolized - I had to remove the audio amp and have a cable made to do the RGB to SCART

Thanx for the link I will check out the site

As to the cat if I take anything out and put it on the floor to take a photo - then there she is!

Thank you everyone for the kind words and the welcome.

Curious, did you find the clear plastic cases from a third party or did all of the FDS games at least have one when you acquired them? I have a few loose FDS disks and I would love to find either new or a great source for used plastic cases.

Thanks for posting pics!

Tom

All the games I got had the plastic and the disk cover sleeve - just no game graphic sleeve.
