FDS Won't Power On

Forum newbie, so my apologies if I am posting in the wrong thread.

I recently moved to Japan and picked up a FDS from a local recycle shop. I have replaced the belt, aligned the spindle head, and gave it an overall good cleaning.

I am using a Famicom power supply that works both on my Famicom and Super Famicom, however, when I try it on the FDS, I get nothing. I have also tried fresh batteries, to no avail.

The power board looks good, and so do the capacitors. I'm not a whiz at circuitry, and have a multimeter, but not sure what to check(don't want to short circuit anything). I'm trying to see if anyone out there has had the same issue.
