Hey guys I recently bought a CRT TV to play my AV famicom on but I'm experiencing blocky graphics when playing Battletoads(iam8bit ver.) and SCAT(LRG Ver.) through an NES  to Famicom adapter I got from evilsim1979 on eBay. Other games like Metalstorm, Dead Tomb and Shadow of the ninja work just fine. Opened up both cartridges and the adapter and cleaned them with Isopropyl Alcohol but that didn't seem to help. I've attached a screenshot. Would appreciate some help here, thanks!

Sorry for my previous ill advice. At least, is gaming on a CRT feel more involved than on LCD?

Am I correct in my understanding, that in these games some sprites look like random 8x8 blocks? Do graphics change when you wiggle the cart? Is the problem cart loose or too grippy in the slot?

No worries, Volo. Yes it is exactly what you described. Maybe it is the NES to FC converter? But other NES games I played using it work just fine. No blockiness at all. Anyway I've just purchased an everdrive n8 fami version and will probably play scat and battletoads roms through that. Hope it doesn't turn out the same! Gonna be a long wait for it to arrive though due to the situation in your country. Hope you and your family are staying safe, Volo. Thanks for taking time out to reply to my post.

Graphical corruption are almost always because of a dirty or loose cartridge connection. It's a little strange that it doesn't happen in all games, but I guess it may vary greatly depending on what game you try.
