My Super Famicom sounds like it it’s out of tune.

Hello there. I'm new to the world of Famicom. I just got a Super Famicom and no matter which game I put in there, the music and sound effects sound out of tune. The picture's fine, and I hear music, but it sounds so strange. Any idea what the issue is?

Sounds like either S-DSP or S-SMP is failing.

If your console has the separate SHVC-SOUND soundbox, try reseating it, maybe. Otherwise it needs that swapped.

If it's a soundbox-less unit, then, well, probably best to just get another SNES.

Seriously though, before you fix it can we get some more haunted recordings?  (unless it's too dangerous) This sounds like it would fit in a sleepypasta.
