Anyway, I thought this link would be handy for those who are looking for hacks:
http://www.zophar.net/hacks/nes.html

Actually, most of them are just graphical hacks which are pretty bad... But there could be some hidden gems.

Anyway - I've just reached the end of Chaos Control but couldn't beat it ! It was my last life when trying the last level for the first time (see pic)... I went pretty far in the level but ended up dying anyway... ah well, I guess I'll just replay it form the start on some other day.

I really enjoyed Chaos Control and I highly recommend it, I recommend it more than Mario Adventure 'cause it feels much more classic.

I strongly recommend NOT to play Mistery Of The Fliying Fish, a hack of SMB3. It's a piece of shit, a machine of torture : each level is an auto scroller and you can't know what to do next for each step of each level unless you have died there already. So it's basically based on unfair horrible gameplay where you have to die countless times, and replay everything by learning everything.

Don't play this shit.

Yeah I have to say, RHDB is the best place to look - but zophar's domain is pretty good for the tools to make your own hacks.  I think there's recently been a new SMB3 engine released too, must check it out.

Super Mario Bros. Frustration/Forever is an awesome hack of SMB, I myself cannot get past 1-1, but it's still a really cool hack..
..And I saw (and posted) a video of a guy playing it on another thread :P

I played Some Usual Day, another romhack of SMB3. It features 4 new worlds + 1 hidden one (which I believe is accessible if you find each level's "hidden" blue coin). I'm stuck in that temple level in world 4 though...  But except that it's pretty cool.

Contra Trax Demo

Very good one. Really challenging Contra level 1 hack.

There's Dragoon X Omega II that turns Final Fantasy into a whole new game:

There's also my complete FF hack with all new enemies (ripped from Dragon Quest, Rygar, even the SNES FFs!), maps, and more:

I've started working on a romhack of MM5 last week.
My aim is to remake each stage, make it feel and play classic. Nothing fancy or over the top, just pure fun.

I'm almost done with 2 stages.

Looks awesome dude!  Jedi can you PM me more info about those games?  Are they in your sell thread?
