Kid Icarus NES or FDS! Like it or Not?

I'm much bigger on Metroid than Kid Icarus. I've beat Metroid several times, on several platforms (NES, VC, FDS). Kid Icarus I haven't gotten past the second level. There are things I just either don't get, or don't feel like dealing with. For example, if you do crappy on a level it affects your growth. If you don't get properly stronger, you'll suck on the later levels. So it's like you're permanently screwed if you don't rock the earlier levels. Also, items are way too expensive, and I can't get the microphone trick to work.

I'm not so fond of both.

Metroid is better on the Super Famicom.
Kid Icarus never sparked my interest that much. Only tried it 2-3 times.

Got both today in the mail, they're both fun and challenging.  I like Kid Icarus more than Metroid, but they're both awesome games

I heavily agree. In fact, it's one of the best SNES games... ever! Atleast I think so.
