NES games/arcade games at the time used a lot of classical music that was "transposed" into 8-bit...I'm not sure exactly what song it is, but it's a familiar tune

TBH, that does seem why you're upset with them.

Not to mention berating Pac-man and Space Invaders on the music. Come on now, when you play a game, what do you expect to play? That's right, a fun entertaining captivating game. Games back then really weren't known for the music so saying you didnt like it based on music is rather silly. The game play can get repetitive, sure. But same could also be said for Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros, and a load of other games as well... Both of those games swallowed a bunch of quarters back in the day, making a lot of money doing so. That's why they are considered the best of all time, i'd assume.

You do seem to have a bias against games that aren't made by Nintendo. Which is rather...well unfair to anything you choose because you obviously would choose a Nintendo game over any other game.

Sorry if I sounded like a jerk but it needed to be said.
hi

japanfreak

XD Yeah sorry, I'm just a big Nintendo fan and btw i got a sony playstation last time but its just i dont like these games. I just want the pure nintendo fantasy:-) But yeah, sorry for that music, but music is (I think) one of the most valueble things in a game. How do you feel to play mario galaxy without music? Or to play the legend of zelda without the opening music or the 'secret' sounds? That should be horrible. And you can say that Its my choice, but they maked a choice to, what a records book shouldnt do. Epic failure.

nurd

Well, we're going to have to revoke your gamer's license.

japanfreak

What does 'revoke' mean? Guinness just sucks. point

nurd

You can't just say that they suck because they didn't pick all of YOUR favorite games for their list.

I, for one, do not like RPGs. Other people like them. I don't tell them they suck for liking something I don't.

japanfreak

Ok so please understand me! I just want to say a records book should make this LIST! Get it dammit!

Wow, either calm down, and quit trolling...
or just quit trolling.

Most everyone on here agrees that disagreements will happen among this sort of community, and any hobbyist community as a whole. That means that we might all disagree that the Guiness list is bunk, but NONE of us are going to agree 100% about what should be on it.
What makes you think that your subjective list is any better than anyone else's highly subjective, and therefore, personal, title list?

japanfreak

Yeah... Anyway, I actually wanted to say: shouldnt, not should:P

Guinness=sucks?  Maybe.
Revoke=to undo
Your gamers licence=suspended until you realize that gameplay is more important than music

Didnt say that. I only said music is maybe even second. Of course, gameplay is #1. I never said it wasnt. But its what I think. I dont know anyone who thinks space invaders is the best game ever XD

IMO:
1st: Gameplay
2nd: Replay value
3rd: Originality/Innovation
4th: Sound
5th: Graphics
