Anyone in or near Pennsylvania, make sure you check out the Too Many Games show in Reading. I went last year and it's pretty decent. They've got several shops worth looking at, some of which deal with Japanese stuff. I know that personally I got some great deals, most of the vendors are willing to haggle or trade. And hey, where else are you going to find a guy selling that stand for the Virtual Boy that you need (for a dollar!)? :P

The next show is on May 3rd. Only costs five bucks!

I grew up in PA, and I might be making it back sometime around May this year. Thanks for the heads-up!

Just sending this one back up to the top for a little. The Too Many Games show is tomorrow in Reading, PA. They also said that he Angry Video Game Nerd is gonna be there so that'll be cool!

If you're in the area you should try to make it! More info here!

Here I am again! Looks like the TooManyGames show is undergoing a bit of a metamorphosis!

The next show is on September 12, 2009 and will be held at The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.  It also looks like they've changed the name to the Game Core Convention. You can hit up their website by clicking here. Anyway, the show earlier this month was great so I see no reason not to go to this one too. Seems to be the only somewhat-substantial show out here on the East Coast.

Also, I went to the VGXPO in Philadelphia last year and it wasn't that great. I know for myself, I wanted to go to hit up the shops and whatnot. Seems that the few shops that did show up were the same ones that hit the TooManyGames show... and that show is twice a year, costs less to get into, and has fewer people. So definitely try to hit up this Game Core Convention if you can!

I'd go if I could, but school starts right before that.  Maybe I'll go to these festivals in 2016 when I'm out of college.

Oh nice I might be able to get to the next one. I'll be at school then and from school I'm very close to Philly.

I'd def. consider going to the one in september. Heck, might even bring a friend I know who lives in philly!
hi

Just a heads up, the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center isn't in the city proper. Depending on which one they're going to (there's more than one...) it could be a short jog outside of the city or as far away as Phoenixville (which is about... 30 miles out).

All in all that's not too bad but just so you're aware.

Yeah, I checked Google maps to see how far away it is and I didn't know which one to choose.  If it's the one at Oaks, I might be able to go.

Ah speaking of this trade show I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find information on retro gaming expos all over the US. I know there is one coming in October right here but don't know the location.

I found out about this one by word of mouth. Not sure if there's a central location that has this info.

FamicomFreak

That would be nice but I guess I'll wait for more info when the date gets closer.
