We've been over this before, so I'll just refer you to these threads:

Bottom line, though, it gets a bit expensive and it does require some technical know-how.

edit: don't read any of this, read the links above ^ :P

No. Those boards use ROMS, which are read only. It can't be written to. I know nothing  about this kind of thing, but you'll have to buy blank EPROMS in the right size, a EPROM burner, and a donor PCB from a preferably common game (don't use rare games as donors!!!!!) You'll also need to figure out how to extract the PRG and CHR data from .ROM files you download from the net, etc etc etc.

By the way, I screwed up on the dimensions for the label.

I'd try 255x125 PIXELS, or 89x44 MM.

I made a label once, and made it slightly larger then the area, then glue it and used a razorblade and cut it to fit almost perfectly.

Jedi Master Baiter

Here are the dimensions I use for labels:

NES:

5.5cm x 9.75cm
2.164in x 3.836in

Famicom:

9cm x 4.3cm
3.5in x 1.6875in

At 300 dpi, the image size comes out to 1087 x 532 px (Famicom) & 650 x 1152 (NES) & that is slightly larger than needed so it can be trimmed down.

Thanks for the links. I bought some of that paper off Amazon. I've got some NES & SNES stuff to do w/ it. *evil grin*

I just sucessfully made a label that actually looks pretty decent; my pocket monsters cart as everyone knows never came with a case or label; and based on what megaman showed me pictures (he sold me the cartridge and then decided to deshell it, I was suprised when it arrived in the mail without a shell... he said he deshelled it because it wouldnt fit in the envelope... I kindly asked for it and he said his mom threw it away.) from I have finally been able to reproduce the original label which coincidentally JC also has a copy of for $22 in his store.

Mine isnt exactly perfect, but it was done with photopaper that has has the back couple layers torn off on the back side so it would glue down better. I also used spray paint clear coat to seal it.

I will post a picture soon.

Ugh, reading that just pisses me off. What gives sellers the right to do that? You pay for what you're expecting, not just's most convenient for them to do. I've had one guy throw out the box for a game just because it wouldn't fit with all this other stuff inside a freakin padded envelope. Some people are too cheap to just try to get a box so the whole thing can fit in there. Just completely rude and inexcusable.

Now I know another person never to buy from or sell to. Thanks for the warning :P

Luckily, he quit Famicomworld along time ago but even today it still saddens me by how rude and annoying he truely was.

Trust me Bramsworth.  You wouldn't want to buy from him if you read even one of his posts.  They were just awful.  Seriously!  Like worse than Marlon.

Yea... even after all this time;
I have never seen anyone ever come close to the awfulness of megaman.

Why is everybody hating on Marlon?
