Recently, I've been flying alot, and I've come to learn some things:

1. Your plane will always be late
2. Your plane will always be overbooked
3. Your flight attendants will have a short fuse
4. There will always be that one person who holds up the flight ( This time it was me  ::))
5. Taking off will take forever
6. It will rain where ever you are/ are going.
7.  There will always be that fat lard in front of you who leans there seat back into your crotch.
8. Tourists are dumb*sses
9. There will always be a baby on board... and it will cry
10.  They never (at least US airways) have peanuts like they used to  :(

Had this happen on one of the flights I was on.  We were in a holding pattern for like 20 minutes above the airport and the baby cried the whole time.

Make sure to bring your ipod or something. That's what I do.

^ Some airlines don't let you do that.  They say it'll interfere with the plane somehow and make it crash.  Which I think is pretty bullshit.
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

Seeing as I'm flying to school on Tues. morning, it's best I solve these problems now:

1. Your plane will always be late

I'll bring my book... & Sansa... & GBASP

6. It will rain where ever you are/ are going.

Now this is a tricky one.  It's hot here, & I checked the forecast there, & it will apparently be 91 - 61 F :-\ ...

I'll bring a vest.

7.  There will always be that fat lard in front of you who leans there seat back into your crotch.

I'm already freakishly small (not sure if that will ease anything), but I can always lean my seat back into whatever food/netbook/elegant drink is sitting on it. :-\

8. Tourists are dumb*sses

I'll be the tourist. :-X

9. There will always be a baby on board... and it will cry

Not sure if setting my Sansa on 'DEAF' with my standard earphones will drown that out, but I can always try... :-\

There is no Jedi power that can solve this. :(

Ipods yes, iPhones no. It's a good thing, because I was playing DooM on all three of my flights.  :D

And on one flight, you werent allowed to use your laptop. What kind of sh*t is that?

Also on that same flight, two kids got arrested for shoplifting. How in the hell do police not catch two teens on skateboards and have them almost get away?

They probably have a policy about not allowing electronics, but with exceptions for the major known ones.  So, they've been trained to recognize the DS and PSP and iPods (oh my!), but everything else is "suspicious".  That'd be my guess.

But even that doesn't make sense. As long as you can show the attendants that they are on and working, why not allow them? Unless the gameboy is like a 1980's cell phone and emits radiation  :P

So far, the first two instances have been prominent.  All flights except the first one were late/overbooked.

How about the flight attendants? Im sure you've all heard about that slater guy who got PO'd and Opened the emergency slide.

The mythbusters proved that cell phones do not interfere with plane equipment, on top of that, you won't get a signal anyway. I remember on JetBlue they have a card that says ALLOWED DEVICES/PROHIBITED FOR USE ON BOARD , and it simply had pictures on it.

There are numerous dependent devices on aircraft that could potentially receive interference from a cell phone, like pilot headsets/radios, especially a malfunctioning or otherwise intentionally tweaked phone. Probably nothing that's a very big deal, though. However, I think keeping them off is a good idea, especially since EMF is amplified in closed spaces (per Dr. George Carlo). All the potential health consequences of EMF, including wifi, exposure aren't completely known or understood.

Besides, I hate when ill-mannered people are mindlessly talking on their cell phones about unimportant shit in public spaces like buses, restaurants, stores, etc. The truth is, most of the time when you speak in public on your phone, you sound like a fucking moron to everyone within earshot. And everyone around you really just wants you to shut your stupid mouth. Really.
