Hi, I just wanted to know if there's a (relatively) simple way to play Super Nintendo games on a Super Famicom. Thanks, yo.

Deshell a SNES gamegenie, and you got a game converter!

Which works until you get to a special chip game (Star Fox, for example).

A Pro Action MK2 and above will support special chips as well and serve as a region converter for PAL games in NTSC consoles.

I actually have one for sale if you're interested.

I got a copy of Starfox (Super Famicom) for a whopping $8 shipped.

So I dont think its a huge problem to need anything but a original SNES game genie. Just buy the games that have special chips actually in their Super Famicom format, they tend to be cheaper then the SNES counterparts anyways.

Thats a good price, mine cost about the same at a flea market near Misawa Japan, my friend picked it up for $8 then shipped it to me for $14. So mine cost $22.

Yeah. My difficulty is that I don't live near or have anyone who lives in Japan. :(

Also, just wondering, is it possible to use the RF and AC adapters that come with the Sega Genesis with the Super Famicom? I have them sitting around my house and don't want to accidentally buy something I don't need.

NintendoKing

I dont see why they wouldnt work as the Super Famicom, Famicom and Sega Genesis use the same standard. I assume channel 1 with tv channel 95 is what you would need for the games to be playable through RF.

Pikkon

Yes the RF will work fine but you have a shitty picture,as for a genesis ac adapter,a model 1 ac will work just fine.
