Hi there!
Yes, satoshi_matrix! It does have battery backup, but
it offers only one slot for saving games. [one more slot would
help a lot...]
I finally took the pictures, but please forgive my lack of skills...

Here they go:

That's weird because my copies have 3 ICs and no globtop.

That's even better, pal!
Globtops sucks!

Your cart seems to be a better matrix to satoshi's intents!  :D

kokie can you take some high res pics? Me and a bunch of other members on a few other forums are trying to figure out what the globtops are.

The three IC's are the PRG-ROM, CHR-RAM and SRAM for the game save, but that still leaves the last two gloptops. If you have a cart with proper ICs please post high res pics or email them to me directly at satoshimatrix@hotmail.com. Thanks.

Already sold all of mine , but I'll recieve a few more carts in a few day after Chinese new year festival ends. I can't take Hi-res since I only have an outdated mobile phone camera but I'll try to take some close-up picture for each chip. :)

I hope I'm bumping the right topic:

Hey!
I was on the lookout for a Final Fantasy VII famicom pirate already translated in english and recently one of these popped out on aliexpress for pretty neat price:

Anyone bought it yet? It is the final translation version? I'm afraid not:

Or does anyone know about some other seller?

muckyfingers

That's not the final translation, point them to the IPS and maybe they can make a version with the final translation patch.

I already sent an email to the seller, hope I get an answer!

Chinese going to kill repro-market and bankrupt repro-makers  ::)
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

Here's one with the latest patch, great price too.

Funny how it says "Nintendo Entertainment System" using the post-SNES logo, but the cartridge is a 60-pin which will not work in a Nintendo Entertainment System without a converter.

If they produced a 72-pin version, the repro-makers should be scared.   But with a 60-pin version, a repro maker can crack open the shell, take out the board and use an internal converter to stick it in a NES shell and sell it for $100.

Some "repro" makers are already doing this trick.  Basically, just ripping off people.  Ugh.

Sooo... if repro-maker made own boards, he is a good boy?  ???

It is not like anyone involved here as any right to the moral or legal high ground.  The pirate outfit that originally programmed this game made an unauthorized port of Final Fantasy VII and ripped every tile he could find from earlier Final Fantasies, the guy who translated into English had no more right to do so, I'm sure the reproducer on Aliexpress selling this cart has no license from anyone, is there anything more wrong about taking it and putting it into a NES shell with a converter?  It works the same if you take the cart and use an external converter.

It's very misleading though.  I still don't care so much, if people want to pay it and are too lazy to do a little research, more fool them.

Having said that, I think that's partly because the NES collecting crowd can be so unpleasant I don't feel as protective over NES stuff.  We wouldn't allow that kind of thing on here.
