I finally went through my recent bulk purchase of Famicom Disks and there was a loose SMB2 Famicom disk with All Night Nippon SMB on side b.  The disk was labeled SMB2 on both sides.  How much would this thing fetch on ebay?  It is not complete and all it has is the plastic case.

All Night Nippon SMB was a promo so I don't think it was written from a disk machine right?

Thanks,

I've been hearing that ANN wasn't available in Disk Writers, which would suggest that it has to be pirated. But then featherpluck had said some time ago that ANN was available in Disk Writers. I'm not sure. It's something I'd like to know for certain.

And featherpluck recently sold a disk like that. He'd be best to tell you what it goes for. :)

Ok, that will fetch about 60 I estimate, based on kris' auctions. It's definately pirated, because legit ANN have lablels. Kris has retracted the statement regarding them being avail in writers.

Thx.  I am going to list this with the rest of my other non famicom related junk.

I've sold three ANN's before, but none of them had the real labels or were complete.  I think they were all copied and that the only way to get the real thing was in the contest.  I don't think it was available from the disk writer like I did say before. I forget the exact prices on all of them (though I could check if you really wanted to know exactly). One of them was a real CIB SMB2 with ANN on side B.  I think it went for around $70 or 80.   There was also one with no real labels and Clu Clu Land on side B, that one went for about $50.  And I sold one that looked real but the title card and labels were just pretty decent quality color copies.  That one went for a little above $100.

and a real annsmb goes for above 1000 ez!

In Japan, anyway, kite. I'd love to see a CIB one on eBay, because eBay prices always are different from YHJ. It'd still go for a lot on eBay, but something tells me about half of what it goes for on YHJ.

Yeah, I agree, because it's not very well known. I dont think it will ever appear on ebay, however.

It's not all that well know, but among those who do know about it, it's highly sought after. I just don't think a lot of people have a grip on what the rarity of it is. That tends to be the problem with selling Famicom stuff on eBay. Japanese Famicom gamers, of which there are more than US Famicom gamers, know what's rare and are willing to bid high on it. That often doesn't happen on eBay, even with NIB games that sell high in Japan, like Alien Battle, which'll only break $100.

And I'm sure eventually one will show up on eBay, but it'll either go cheap or have a high reserve or BIN.
