Does anyone know where I can buy one?

UglyJoe

eBay.

Here's a new one that was posted a day or two ago: http://cgi.ebay.com/NINTENDO-FAMICOM-RECORDER-BRAND-NEW-UNUSED-/370532420834?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item5645740ce2#ht_500wt_1365

If you're willing to spend $100+ on a red tape recorder, it could be yours.  Good luck.

I saw it once on a Japanese auction site, but it became very expensive. It would be easier to search for it with the Japanese name.
Selling  Japanese games in Sweden since 2011 (as "japanspel").

I don't think it has a non-Japanese name. fredJ probably means typing Fami-Corder in Japanese like this: ファミコーダー
I seem to get results with the cassette recorder as well though...

Wasn't this from the HK market? I don't think it was sold in Nippon in any quantity, but rather in HK or Taiwan, where copiers are less 'illegal'... I don't know what you plan to do with it, but I think it only supports NROM, UNROM and CNROM games, and of course, you will need at least one of its EPROM carts so that you can reproduce them, assuming they don't have any weird custom-mapper for MMC1 programmes...  :bomb:

Yeah you are probably right Xious. Klax if you are searching after it on chinese or HK sites I bet you can just search for it in english.

i got it i just bought it from japan it is very expensive so i will show your photo

Xious

What, in your deflation, is 'very expensive'? Around how much did you pay for the device?
Did it come with the programmable cassettes, and if so, how many? :bomb:

I think the best way ever to use a famicorder would be to do this (if possible):

Sorry folks.

OH MY GOD! YOU HAVE ONE! YOU ARE SO LUCKY!
