Well, it's not really much of a game. :-\ But here's a demo:

Russian Roulette.EXE

As of right now, I'm scouting for people to make original music. (I'd do it myself, but doing everything else kinda takes up a lot of time.) I also want to add some features to the gameplay and add a 'Betting Mode' ;)

Also, I'll take suggestions for improvements. :bomb:

P

It's very well done, you know how to use the sound effects and music even if it's ripped.

zmaster18

I like the graphics, very well done.

smeghead

Wow i would love to play it, it's gonna be great game! i'm following You!

Suggestions.. add blood when is finished.  ;)

P

I suggest to not add blood or it will become very ugly and gruesome (especially since it has a very serious theme what with guns and russian roulette). Unless blood is used in some creative aesthetic way.

maxellnormalbias

Maybe when someone dies you could add a cartoonish red splat. That would make it even more sarcastic and silly.

smeghead

Ok. Maybe blood is not good idea... how about try to add difficulty levels - example- easy (there's one bullet in chamber) , hard (there are more bullets). I know, that's hard to do, i also tried to make some little games a few years ago but never finished any.. making games is hard business and it requires some knowledge! But this little game You're making is very good and interesting. And when it's done people can easily play  russian roulette  game without fear of dying!

Looks great, for a minute I thought "Can't wait to play this on Famicom" until I saw that it was a PC game.  ;D

I'm going to see about porting this to other platforms. It looks simple enough. I think. :-\

I like the style of it - as a Fami fan who wouldn't  :D

Can I ask what you're using to make it?

大事なのは、オチに至るまでの積み重ねなのです。

Just wanna make sure everyone's on the same page here: I thought this game was supposed to essentially be sort of a joke, like "Nintendo would never make this".

Actually this sounds like a good project for someone who has a Family Basic cartridge and keyboard, they could make a famicom port of this.

P

Games takes a lot of time and effort to make, a simple game like this still requires lots of work.

I'm not sure Family Basic is fast enough to make this game with the same speed. Also you would need a hacked version of Family Basic since you can't change the graphics in software (due to CHR-ROM instead of CHR-RAM). You could hack a famibe ROM with the CHR you want and run it in an emulator or flashcart. Might as well code it in assembly. :)

GameMaker...

5.0 :-\

Right now I'm having trouble adding a high score-saving feature. :(

Sarahconner

This is more amusing it would seem, as net art than a game.

P

Wow GameMaker 5.0! Isn't that before they turned all drag-and-drop commands into script commands?
