Well, it's basically the same as the original Mario, but the title screen has a logo of Mario making a piece sign (the same mario that is on the Famicom Disk System game cover of Super Mario 2 japan) and beside mario is a 2. And the only other difference to note is that the screen is sorta of cut in half, so when you walk pass a pipe lets say, well the pipe disapears but it actually is still there. It's really hard to explain
