Stan Hansen and the Custom Title

Was wondering why he got a custom title.  Was he a former mod?

No, regular members can't change their custom title.  I could have sworn it was a feature we had to disable due to abuse, but I can't find a record of it anywhere.

You are correct, sir.

Now, out of the almost 600 members here, only about a fraction of that posts on the board often.  I think the custom title option should be on again, and if anyone abuses it (I'm assuming by that, you meant inappropriate things?) they could be given a ban of some kind, and the mods could change it.  Maybe when the site redesign goes up.  It's just something to think about.

I think the custom title was never an option then.
Before everybody could change his username freely, this led to problems, so username changes aren't allowed any more.

Maybe we should give people over a certain number of posts, or better yet, who really contribute stuff the right to have a custom title.

When Doc was around, he would, from time to time, add custom titles to people's accounts. He might have done that.

I like this.  Post whores like me don't deserve a custom title for just posting, you should have to contribute something first.

Also, I was reading through Stan's post, and Doc was apparently a friend of his, so I guess it was because he was part of his inner circle.

I'd even give you a custom title if I could, but I can't. i'm just a small, unimportant mod.

Thanks, Manuel.  Don't know what exactly I'm contributing, but hey, it's the thought that counts.   Your mod status makes you look important.  You're not just the Moderator of Japan, you and Jedi are Global Moderators.

Just logged on and saw FamicomFreak has one too (and a strange one at that).  Are you able to have one when you hit 4,000 posts or something?  In that case, I'm next in line with 90 posts to go.
