Despite not knowing what half the games are i just had to buy these lots for the games i do recognise, this is probably my best find as a video game collector ever :-)

Medisinyl

/\  I see some great games in there at a glance.  Definitely nice looking lots, especially if you got them cheap.

Got these in the mail from Carl today.

The disk is (obviously) a pirate, which is exactly what I wanted! :D  It has SMB on one side, and SMB2j on the other.  In SMB, Mario runs double the speed he does in the normal game..which is awesome...can you say "New personal best for SMB?" ;D  SMB2j was claimed to have Mario/Luigi run really slow...but I didn't notice a change.  Maybe it's just me, but oh well.  They're great!  Again, it might be just me, but I think the colors in SM USA are more vivid than that of SMB2 on the NES.  Either way, I recommend SMUSA, and this hack if you can get it.  It's a nice change of pace (:P) from the original.

I've been tempted. It'd be neat to get the ROM on a Famicom cart.

Wow, it looks cheesy, but I may consider getting it.  I've never heard of it before, but apparently there was a sequel...huh.  The more you know

EDIT** I guess it's not exactly a sequel.  Sort of like MPTO--->PO w/ Mr. Dream, they just removed Mike's image and renamed him...to TOUGH GUY.  That isn't cool at all.  It's not really related to Punchout..

My package from JC:

3D Hot Rally is sealed, which is nice.  It's my second CIB disk, but my first sealed disk, and it's my first blue disk!  I didn't know Disk Writer games were sealed....were they?  And won't you look at the quality on that Adventure Island label?  It's like it's straight out of a cheap photocopier!  Amazing!  These pictures were taken right when they came out of the packages, so now they're all nice and clean.  And that sticker above the Rockman label is gone :D  That thing was annoying.

It's not a Disk Writer game. The blue casing -- retail releases -- indicates a Disk Fax game. The DW games were usually written to blank disks in yellow casing, though you could use Side B of a disk with the blue casing. The DF games have blue casing and have the little dust cover over the hole where the disk is read by the FDS. The dust cover was added to protect the sensitive high score data from corruption or loss. You could take your blue disk into certain stores and have the high score on it "faxed" into Nintendo headquarters, maybe getting a prize when the high score competition ended.
