I did and it is only $6.95 (without shipping) . We need to show them that there's enough interest in them so they will be sure that the second DVD ( Bluray maybe? ) will be sold. Buying the season one will also help them collect  money to do the run...

Honestly, I have watched some videos as well and it can be interesting at times but the sometime over dramatic skits and bad prononciation of Japanese just kills it for me. I appreciate the effort however and do agree with supporting fellow famicom fans.

I am in no way saying that I am perfect either. I understand it can be hard from going from English to Japanese randomly. However, one can choose a stance of pronouncing in an English way or more Japanese esque style. Sort of a hard decision but really comes down to your audience I guess (which would be mostly non japanese speakers in this case). Either way kudos~

Woah.. can't believe I never stumbled upon this thread before.  I know it's belated, but thank you guys!  Yeah, it can be difficult to make the show from 2 different countries and now that we both have kids it's even harder but we just love doing it.  We have 1 full episode coming out this month and about 5 shorter pieces that will be coming out shortly after that.  And yeah, if we can ever get the mastering costs together we would love to do a season 2 disc.  It's just really great to see you guys supporting us.   

Parodius and DowntimeinJapan, sorry the show is not to your taste.  We try to mix in humor with the gaming info.  Sometimes we don't succeed.  Sean's  (he does all the console voices) pronunciation of Japanese is far from perfect but in his defense my wife can understand most of it and our Japanese fans think the "外国の響き" (foreign sounding) Japanese is funny. But I can see how it might be annoying to someone looking for a more authentic sound.  We will try to improve in that respect.  We do take viewer comments to heart.

And guys, thank you for those of you who bought the DVD but please don't feel pressure to buy it.  We make these shows because we enjoy supporting Japanese Retro gaming and reading a thread like this and seeing your comments really inspire us to make more of these.  Again, sorry to bump an old thread, but I missed it the first time around.

Oh hay, I'm here too now!  I noticed a bump on the website from Famicom World, and thought I'd drop by to see what that was all about.  And I got here!

Sorry about the Japanese.  Not much to do about that except to take some more classes... and who has the time?

I mean... the consoles TOTALLY voice themselves, and the Famicom must sound so strange to the trained ear now because he's spent so much time abroad.  Yeah, that's the ticket...

I've seen a few episodes, found them while trying to figure out what power adapter to use with the Famicom before I stumbled upon Famicom World. It was alright to say the least! As with some others, yes I found the Japanese pronunciation a bit bad, but it's not like it made me want to close the video immediately or anything like that. 

The episodes were quite informative and had a good mix of humour and seriousness.  As someone maybe trying to get into the Famicom scene I think they are good intro videos. It would be pretty cool if a few more people could get into collecting for the Famicom and some other Japanese consoles.

I'd love to see more episodes, I hope with better video quality, though. Keep up the good work.

I've been really enjoying the podcasts and the show was great too.  I like the humour in the episodes but you can't please everyone I guess.
I'm glad there will be new videos soon.  Can't wait for the next episode!
