Nah it's my own fault for overspending on stuff, but the fees are ridiculous overweighted.
I don't mind working overtime, but I don't get paid for it and have precious little time to myself as it is.  When other stuff is going on it just makes it worse.

Does England still ignore the EU overtime directive?
While I don't agree with everything the unions do, it's nice to say I have never had to work overtime in my life. Work 8 hours, go home...

I have that option, but some things need the right amount of attention :)
I have a salary, so overtime isn't really overtime at all.
Enough work stuff from me though - I love the company and my colleagues a great deal.

Got my sharp nes tv in the mail... It had a huge crack at the top. And guess what? The screen doesnt turn on... Im infuriated...

Oh that's outrageous! Do photos, post tests, we'll make that thing work again together! ;D

manuel

Was it damaged during (hopefully insured) shipping?
Then I'd ask for compensation from insurance!

famiac

Yeah it was during shipping. Wasnt insured... Im taking it to a tv repair shop to see what they can do. It's just a simple screen problem that can hopefully be fixed...

I had a TV damaged by bad handling during shipping from Talca to Santiago, but in my case the CRT aperture grille became loose (presumably from a great mechanical shock or from falling), ruining the whole set.

Needless to say I had to junk the TV. Replacing the CRT is not worth the hassle.

But the colors are beautiful.
You could have sold it to some drug addict and he would have loved it!  ;D

Dang! I just left it on the curb, maybe some junkie took it for free! :P

Late reply but that does sound like an unpleasant day.

On the other hand if you only experience flats on your bike once in 20 years you are lucky, I have to get them fixed 3-4 times a year.  Mind you I put about 400km a month on my bike so it gets a lot of work!

And I know the disappointment of going to a game store and finding they only stock recent stuff and don`t have any Famicom or other early stuff.  A couple of years ago I made a map of all the Book-Offs/ Hard Offs, etc in Fukuoka and spent a whole day riding out to all of them, 7 or 8 different locations I think.  I came home empty handed - almost none of them had any retro games and the ones that did all had prety awful selection and prices.

I guess so.  ;D But it was unfortunate that I got one on a new bike after only riding it like 3 or 4 times.  :'(

You should have placed it somewhere where it is well visible from the outside. Then someone will break in and take it, you will get insurance, and you don't have to go anywhere to throw it away.
I don't think this is against the law.
This happened to me with a printer once. It wasn't worth enough for insurance, but at least I didn't have to bother about throwing it away.
