I know Namco also co-developed F-zero GX with Sega and Nintendo, that game turned out to be pretty awesome. Namco is a big publisher though, so you can't be too confident in the quality they produce.

Because theyr'e a big publisher?  I certainly expect better things from bigger publishers than smaller.
Generally though, a publisher is just that.  It's the developers that count.

Petik's on the money though, they wouldn't be working with them if they weren't confidet themselves.  Zelda 3DS turned out fine didn't it?

Yeah exactly, Namco owns contracts with quite a few developers, sometimes those developers are extremely high quality(From Software) and other times not so much.

Spike are the publisher/distributor right?  I've worked with them before, they were top guys so I'd have confidence in them.
Either way, Nintendo are publishing and distributing all their first party stuff, so I can't see Spike involved.

Some good games from NamcoBandai:

- Tekken (3D, Tekken 6, TTT2)
- Dark Souls
- Armored Core V (menus are bad though!)
- Soul Calibur sizznat
- Katamari shamalayanari
- Mario Kart GP 2 (which turned out great)

Based on DBZ BT1, DBZ BT2, DBZ BT3, DB RB1, DB RB2 and DBZ UT it's more than likely it'd be utter shit than an actual amazing game. Whatever Spike touches turns into shit.

And I don't think Spike's the dev team (thank God even tho I don't believe God exists).

I think that's just Dragon Ball games.  They keep selling regardless of quality, so they don't really have any onus to make them good.  At least that's how it seems...

I also think like L___E___T .
Dragon Balls sell because of the power of the franchise itself, not because the games are good.
As long as the games are "somewhat okay", they'll sell a decent amount.
