Did I buy a pirate cart by accident?

Come on, guys, it's just a faded label.  Do you honestly believe that pirates would remove the "Dr Mario" katakana, but not the Nintendo logo, Family Computer logo, the Nintendo copyright, the trademark after the game title, and the trademark after the katakana title?  I mean, I know pirate labels seldom make sense, but they certainly know how to remove copyright notices.

It could however be worth noting the strange thing that red seems to fade first on famicom carts....

the another drama is that TS spent 10 bucks for this heavily faded cart.

Ten bucks for cart-only Dr. Mario is a shame, it's one of the cheapest CIB games you can even get for Famicom.  I see them in great shape complete for ~300-500 yen often.

But we've all had our misfires.

your label is missing "ドクターマリオ"

unless that has faded out too with all the colour

I doubt it; the text is the same colour as the red virus and there's still a faint bit of colour on that one.

maybe the camera didnt pick that up, notice it still has the TM sign next to the missing text

It's still there. It's just so faded it's only a few shades lighter then the rest of the label. I have to try very hard to see it.

I have UV-eraser and Dr.Mario and don't mind to make an experiment to fade cart, since noone want to buy it.
