UglyJoe

Finally got my office into good enough shape to setup my desk and computer.  Haven't booted this thing up since December!  Everything wants to update all at once :-[

Got a kiss on the cheek from my little guy!

MaxXimus

I wrote a post in the Last game played thread.

UglyJoe

Tested a Family Basic program for controlling ROB.  Needs more work :-[

Did you script it UglyJoe? It sounds interesting.

I just woke up an hour ago.

Just went through my monthly routine of eyeing up the things I want; Galaxy S4 and Head Mounted Devices (HMZ-T2 / Oculus Rift).

Jedi Master Baiter

Got a test out of the way - did quite well. :)

Also beat Rescue Rangers 2 with my brother. I was disappointed with the ending. :( It wasn't as fond as I remembered it long ago.

Nightstar699

Did you exploit the trick where you throw the other player at the bosses?

Jedi Master Baiter

I exploited the trick where you die halfway through the level & collect more points to gain hearts.

I felt this game left a bit to be desired; comparing it to the first one:

-less stage order selection
-seemed shorter (or is it just me?)
-less power ups / items

I believe it was a rush job; it kinda shows (even the box art looks questionable: the apple is smaller than them?! :o Even the buildings look proportionate to their size instead of looking much bigger; the clock numbers aren't skewed like they should be but whatever).

The haunted mansion stage missed an opportunity to use the candles as a gimmick like in Brightman's stage of Mega Man IV, but instead they went the Ninja Gaiden II route where the lights just go on & off intermittently (maybe they didn't have time to implementing it?)

Don't get me wrong. I still liked the game & am glad it exists (& I wouldn't trade it for the world). The graphics & gameplay are refined, the bosses were cool, the music is great as always (except one stage! >:(), & that minecart level (enough said!). It was still a fun game. Plus, it's the Rescue Rangers! Who here actually watched that show growing up? I never knew Chip was voiced by a woman-- Tress McNeille at that! :o Just found this out.

Now I'm going to play Duck Tales! (2)

Nightstar699

The last thing I did was read Jedi QuestMaster's assessment of Chip N' Dale 2, agree with most of his points, but admit that CnD2 is still my favorite one just because of how awesome the boss battles are... the pink card-throwing cat was my favorite! But  both CnD games are great. I remember seeing the original cartoon series of it on TV, years ago... but I played the NES game beforehand.

On my last bottle of Angry Orchard while browsing Famciom World on my S4 using Tapatalk. Just sold my Notebook as well. Found out today that a full fledged Linux Operating System is going to be released  on a phone called Ubuntu Edge; Really rained on my S4 parade today. (Wish they would've announced this two weeks ago.)
