Today, I watched the pilot miniseries of the (new) Battlestar Galactica. It was pretty decent. I'm looking forward to watching more of this series.

I collect SFC/N64 mainly. Some rare famicom stuff too. Also miscellaneous video game stuff.

Yesterday, I watched Gremlins with the girlfriend's family. Because that's a good holiday movie, you know?

Gremlins is an awesome Christmas movie:)

The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug.

Too long and at the end somehow unlogic movie... but it's worth watching if you're fan of the series.
I guess it will be one more sequel?

I watched 47 Ronin with the family - they all thought it was great but I was quite unimpressed.

We were going to watch the Hobbit: tDoS but at 3 hours it's too long.  Try don't need to forcibly make these movies that long, it's detrimental.  Keep all the action and set pieces and lose the stupid dwarf musicals and bickering sections you'd easily shave an hour off.  LOTR 1 was long but engaging all the way through - I get the sense Peter Jackson thinks people 'need 3 hours' or he's not doing the books justice, but that's just zeitgeist nonsense.
