I had a good day today. I beat Double Dragon (NES) for only the second time in my life. Machine-Gun Willie is usually such a pain in the ass for me, but I got him on my first try. And, like the first time I beat Double Dragon, I easily defeated Jimmy Lee with a full life bar on my next life.

I also broke out the Duck Tales (NES) for the first time in over a year and got the special $10,000,000 ending.

In between, I celebrated my pickup of a nice CIB Streets of Rage 2 (Genesis) from my local game store by playing all the way through on "Easy." It sure is... I beat it on one credit.

Lickle on the famicom, known as little Samson for the nes and Rambo.

Lickle/Samson is a fun one, alright. Rambo, on the other hand... meh.

I had three first-time completions today for the 2015 edition of the Nintendo Age challenge:  Freedom Force, Kid Niki, and Whomp 'Em.

Other new first-time completions I've notched over the last couple of weeks for the sake of the NA competition include Bomberman II, Jackal, Kid Klown in Night Mayor World, Mighty Final Fight, and  Palamedes.

Ai Senshi Nicol for the famicom disk system. Very fun game ran through it pretty quick though. Note the whole game is in English accept title screen.

Lickle for the famicom also, on normal, first time i played it, what a great game.

I was thinking it would be cool to finish it  with KO the mouse only most of the time, but i knew that must be crazy difficult, then i saw a speed run of this game and that's how they actually play it.

I had a couple of first-time conquests yesterday when I beat Casino Kid II and Kickle Cubicle (both NES, of course).

Nice. I need to play through that one someday. Yesterday, I beat Conquest of the Crystal Palace (NES) for only the second time. Very solid, underrated title there.

Protoman

Mappy Kids. Got a 'bad ending' but I don't care. Pretty easy but pretty fun still. Again no bosses in lieu of minigames, but after losing once I understood them.

I've had a couple of first-time completions today: Little League Baseball and M.U.L.E., both on the NES.

nightstar may be interested to know that I scored a first-time completion tonight: Yo! Noid (NES)

The game is much longer than I would have guessed. Overall, it was flawed but enjoyable.

ATARI7800

I just beat kid Dracula and it honestly is one of the best platforms i've ever played. I was definitely hard though especially that boss rush at the end.

Tag Team Wrestling (NES)

Boring, frustrating, and repetitive. But hey, 9 points for the Nintendo Age challenge for an hour and a half of grinding.
