Well, this is sad and (at least on my end) very unexpected. I know it's not a huge community on this board, but it is pretty tight-knit and fairly active. Are there any viable options for continuing the forum, even if in a different format or place?

We can't really say at this moment. When I get in touch with uglyjoe well try and get this thread locked or removed and he'll make an official announcement some time after.

I would like to mention that we are looking into alternative options but it's very difficult, for a number of reasons, sadly.

FW shutting down would genuinely affect my quality of lifeon a daily basis - it means that much to me so I hope there is something.

I'll bite...happy to take over the day to day running of the site pending what is involved, costs and time for example. I would be happy to dedicate a couple hours a day and some $. Pm me or continue conversation here ok

Indeed, would be a shame to see the place disappear. Even though I don't post much, this is one of the few forums on my "check multiple times a day"-list.

I own a couple of domains and have experience in administering phpBB forums, so I could help out a bit if needed as well. On a zero-budget I could at least host the site and the forum as a subdomain to one of my existing ones, that wouldn't cost anybody anything but time.

I still think it's an April Fool's joke.  I don't buy it and think you guys are just milking it.  There's no way this site would close without the option to hand it off to someone responsible enough to run it.  On top of that all this talk coincidentally started right before April Fools and whoops, the private thread randomly became public.

The Japanese text on the website was very clever!!  Whoever thought of that good job!, because without that we would never go into the section of the forum about the website and stumble upon this.  It was merely to redirect people.
