This weekend Yard sles are every where around my region. Today I've found;

Coleco Frogger Mint condition in box - 9$
Sega Genesis with 13 games - 3$
Linksys Wireless N router - 5$

Tommorrow I'm still going on the hunt for more stuff 8)

I scoured about two dozen yard sales this past weekend and the only thing I found was a Game Gear for a dollar. I've got no idea where all the gamers near me disappeared to but I need to find them.

I know, right!

And I hate how most people with garage sales with any type of game thinks that it is rare and valuable.

Yeah that's true. I went to this guy who was selling a popeye famicom pirate cart, a sega dreamcast controller, 3 NES games, and a MicroVision pirate NES controller. I asked what he was asking for each item, and he always kept telling me 5$ for everything on the freakin' table! >:( 5$ for a NES controller!? I just left everything there and told myself to shove his 5$ up his ass.

And by the way, I bought another NES system with two controllers and all cables, and it came with a ''Golden cart 260 games in 1'' :) All for only 5$! ;D This cart is truly the best pirate multicart I have ever seen! :o

Lucky.

I hardly ever get anything good these days.
I wish that I could find a garage sale of some 30some year old guys parents, who have no Idea what stuff is worth, who have a large box of NES stuff for $8.

That would be a good day.

I would also love that, but instead I would like it to be filled with LOTS of rare and some unreleased prototypes, just like (ummm...what was the name...jollyrancher I think?) found a couple of years ago. He bought every game for about 40 cents each and sold them for thousands of dollars a piece!  I would DIE just to have an Earthbound proto, and the guy had two of them! :o Now that my friend is FREAKIN LUCKY! :-\

The games aside though, if any of you need blankets and toys for young children there is a surplus of them. Each sale seems to have more than the last!

Back to the sales though, I was at one table and saw Super Glove Ball. At the time I had a Power Glove but was still trying to find Super Glove Ball (I hadn't been looking very hard, mind you). Anyway I ask her how much she wants for the cart and she say she wants 15 bucks. Being the nice guy I am, I respectfully declined (she doesn't know prices or anything so I can't blame her) and walked away. Then I threw up. :-\

A week later I found it for something like 50 cents.

One time, I saw The Sims , New in box at a garage sale.

Price sticker, $2USD

I said "Will you take $1.50 for it?"

And she said no.

That lady was a bitch.

manuel

2$ isn't THAT much, though. ::)

nurd

It was the way she said it, though.

Also, I only had $1.50.

I hate that when you find something you like, regardless of where it is, and you are just under the amount you need. :( It's happened to me MANY TIMES.

Har the cat

last time with the bargains here in holland with queensday my behaviour was worse than scrooge mcduck.

2 euro for a commodore 64 with power cartridge, floppy drive, cassette deck and a ton with floppies.

i didnt bought it :-X
Intergalactic cat says: Is this planet Earth?

MaxXimus

YOU SHOULD HAVE! The C64 is one of the best computer game systems ever! :)

I have one in box, and I have a bunch of games, and joysticks, and a fast load cartridge(so you don't need to type in load "*",8,1 or what ever it is you need to type in(sometimes it's the game name, sometimes it's list, bla bla bla))

I bought a Commodore 64 system about 4 years ago for 20$. It came with te floppy drive, controllers and diskettes and complete in box games. I played with it, but for some reason I just can't seem to like the Commodore 64 that much :-\ One game i did like though was Kickman I think :P
