You better ask for a 50% off deal. It's half used. :P

Yeah, and I hope it doesn't melt or rot during shipping :P

Antarctic Adventure.
$1 BIN.

Is this a good deal?

DAMN.

Just got a message from seller.

When they were little, they swapped cartridges with a friend, and they got Super Mario Bros.

They hadn't opened this before the auction, so they didn't know.

But, it has the Box, Manual, and that Clear thing for Antarctic adventure, that's pretty good I guess.

Just wondering, about how much is Antarctic Adventure worth?

I played it on a multicart, and it is pretty fun.

JC

Not much, but $1 is a deal for any Famicom game.

FamicomFreak

I just got  a mario hack pirate. The cart comes with Super Mario 2,3,6,9,10,14,and 16. The hacks are OK but it's fun to have Mario 2 and 3 in one cart so I don't have to switch them off every time I want to play them.

I've seen pirates like that, but I didn't know they had that many SM games on them. That's cool. 10, 14 and 16 seem really common. I wonder why...perhaps they were the most popular. I've had trouble finding some of the Mario hacks.

It's pretty rare, so I'm not sure if I'm ready to sell. Besides, my corn on the cob is pretty much useless without it.

JC

I've mentioned a couple of these elsewhere, but I'm getting these from Argentina in about a week! I'll have a few dupes, like Master Fighter, Bubble Bobble, Somari, Tekken, so keep an eye on the "JC's Extras" thread.

DDR for the Famicom? Is that like the cart version of the 'plug & play' dancing mats with a Famiclone inside?

JC

I don't know, 133. I've never seen the Famiclone. I'm excited to see what songs it's got on it. Here are some shots:

133MHz

I think it's the cart version of these things:

Here's a video where you can barely see a guy playing one of those http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w8eNoFMklU
You can clearly hear the Famicom-like music coming from it.

Basically they're Famiclones with no cart & controller ports. They have this Dance Dance Revolution ROM hardwired into the NOAC and the dance pad hardwired as controller 1, everything inside the small plastic shell on the top of the mat. Some of them even come with a pirated version of Nintendo's Pinball, which you play with your feet :P. I see these things every day for 10 bucks at local supermarkets.

So what you got here is the standalone ROM cart version of these pieces of crap. Nice! ;D

JC

That's curious...I wonder how it'll substitute for the Dance Pad (looks like it'll use the d-pad) and if it'll be decent, since you say the pad version sucks. I guess very few pirate originals are good, so this one probably doesn't have much of a fighting chance.

133MHz

The dance pad is electrically a Famicom controller hardwired into the clone, with the step arrows mapped to the D-pad directions, so in your cart version you'll end up using the D-pad to play. I say it sucks because it's a flimsy piece of hardware like most Famiclones, not because of the software. You'll have to find that out yourself ;).

So basically your cart is the ROM from one of these machines.

nurd

If you have an expansion slot famicom controller, you could make a dance pad. :P

133MHz

Yeah I guess you could strip one of those Plug&Play dance pads and convert it into a Famicom/NES controller. I'd try to play SMB with my feet or something ;D
