Picked up these SWEET nintendo playing cards:

I guess on the back it says "Nintendo Playing Card Co. Ltd." which , I'm guessing, would age them between 1950 - 1975. Although I'm sure someone will come across something and they'll be from 1998 or something  ;D ;D ;D

I was gonna PM you about those. I saw them yesterday with no bids. I was uncertain about their age as well, but I figured they had to be at least pre-1980. That case they come in looks like 60s.

Its funny, these were on ebay about a month ago for like twice as much, with a buy it now for 70 bucks. When it didn't sell, I asked the seller if they would give them to me for 30, and they said no. So when they relisted it, I wound up getting them for 22...go figure. haha

I've decided to focus my attention like vealchop, so I'm gonna be picking up as many of the Hacker's, Super Pigs, and Mimis as I can get. I guess that's still a bit more broad of a goal than vealchop might recommend, but hell, I love pirates/unlicensed, so I'll go with it.

BTW: Anyone (manuel/feather) know the name of this Super Pig? I need to add it to the games list.

BTW 2: This is the first CIB/NIB I've ever purchased having actually wanted it...which is dangerous after all my "burn the boxes" talk from last month!

Finally got my hands on the "color barrel" puzzle by Nintendo. Designed by none other than Gunpei Yokoi! 1980.

Jedi Master Baiter

Since he's dead now, does that mean his work is now priceless, like artists paintings? ;)

JC

Well, perhaps...but an artist's paintings are always one-of-a-kind. Not mass produced. So maybe the first color barrel would be worth some money. :)

JC

Don't play dumb. :P You know what I mean. Those that are hand painted by the artist are the only ones worth big bucks. The shit they print out (mass produce) doesn't ever bring in the dough.

Doc

Lovin' Wario's Woods. And I'm jealous, you got the only Dragon Ball Z game I DON'T have!

And Jesus is...well, it's something.

Japanese game packaging is always so much more exciting than packaging for other regions.  Heck, Japanese packaging for most products is always fun, no matter what product it is.  The color on that Warios Wood is awesome.

Hey JC, that Super Pig game is Emi-chan no Moero Yakyuuken.  Translates to Emi's Hot Strip Game.  It's a paper rock scissors game and soooo annoying since you have to defeat her so many more times than she defeats yyou to get her to strip. But I guess that makes it fun too!

HERE

JC

Thanks, Kris. :D Added it to the games list.

JC

Just picked up a boxed disk system for $35 shipped from Japan. :)

Wow!  Just shipping is almost that price!
