Quarth and Ninja Kun.
Both are pretty fun and addicting.
So far I cannot get past scene 4 in Ninja Kun. Have to keep working at it. Then again, it was past 2am, and I was a little drunk. :P

Lagrange Point, using a walkthrough originally in Japanese, but thrown into Babelfish, and could actually comprehend the broken English

Little Dracula or [whatever the Japan name is, Sorry kind of new at this :-X ]
Either way I gotta say, it's pretty addictive and gives yea a challenge, That rail way scene is intense!
So good I can't even fault the clansmen bosses at the end of the first level. What's up with that anyways?

Oh and thanks everyone. this thread really is teaching me what to look for. You all sure love your pirated Carts  ;D

Obviously back then the Japanese game makers weren't too aware that the things they put in their games being culturally offensive in other countries.

Tupin

That continued all the way up to the 90's, ever see the Japanese version of EarthBound?

The Happy Happy cult resembles the Aum Shinrikyo in terms of ideals, and are dressed like Klansmen. Not to mention that the Onett's mayor's name is W.H. Pirkle. Both were changed in the American version.

Yeah several Famicom games had some racial stereotyping..

Square no Tom Sawyer - that character Jim and his black face with the big fat lips

The thief from Wall Street Kid was originally black and had his skin color changed in the US version

Just finished playing (dammit I almost beat the end Tank too!)
JACKAL on the AV Famicom, using a adapter to play NES
games on it.

Before that was some good times with Mighty Final Fight

My goal is to hopefully be able to pass stage 2 of CHASE H.Q.
though as I find the Famicom game's controls nowhere near
as precise as the Arcade original or even the PC-ENGINE HU
Card version either.
Gaming peaked in the 8-Bit & 16-Bit eras...
all else is just rehashes and insanity passing
itself off as "gaming."

You should.  I still haven't subbed your videos yet.  I wish my connection was better, then I'd upload WAY more videos.  I have like 6 on my computer, but I don't have the willpower to upload them.

If you put them in windows movie maker,(you don't have to edit the video, just put the movie in and "save as movie file"), they'll be compressed a LOT.
