When I lived back home with my folks, it would take 2 - 3 hours to mow the lawn, with a riding mower at that.

Is your sister married?  She is Croatian, I bet she must be beautiful.

Yes, I one time had a problem when the grass was really wet, and then I got the lawn mower stuck in the grass due to the mud and wet grass...I really didn't want to tell my dad (who was working), but my mom is retired so luckily she was there to help me get the lawn mower unstuck.  This was back when I was living with my folks.

If the grass was too high, I would have to go out and rake the grass...and the pick up the extra grass and throw it away, so that it would not kill the other grass that might try to grow.

I'm gathering my belongings as there are several fires near San Diego; one near our home. :fire:

There's a good chance we may need to evacuate soon.

Oh I hope you are all right!

Coming from the land of fires and floods (Sometimes in the same week!) I know how scary that shit is. Make sure you take important papers and photo albums and your pets too.  Also this may be helpful https://www.fire.nsw.gov.au/page.php?id=315
