Sonic 4

Sonic 4 has been given a release date of october 7-13, depending on the console. It will cost $15 and as you should know, its episodic. What are your thoughts on it?

THIS is the thing I was waiting for ages, and would be my third WiiWare game downloaded to my Wii (after Megaman 9 and 10 of course). SO excited about finally knowing the release date! The ONLY thing I'm a little sad about is that I cannot have this one on some kind of media (disc or cartridge), because it could have been nice to place in my sonic collection...
And Yes, I think it would rock! I'm glad it's not in 16-bit graphics anymore, because of many sonic4-look-a-like romhacks and fangames made for the Mega Drive (yes I find EUR/JAP name better than the USA "Genesis"). When comparising, I am not saying that Megaman 9 sucked or anything, actually I love it! (the number 10 has left me with mixed feelings though, hated that changing weapons with "B" button on bottom of the Wii controller).
I only hope the controlls would be responsive enough, to remind me of the good-old-times when I was a little kid and sitting on weekends in front of an old TV with Mega Drive turned for 5 or more hours, playing Sonic (of course), and was starting to feel weird and dizzy but still couldn't stop...

What do you mean by that? If you're talking about it being a WiiWare exclusive, then no. It'll also be available on the 360 and PS3.

personally, I don't think I'll get it.  It looks gash.  Slow and clunky, not the Sonice we know and love.  I'd pay double for this though:

The Sonic I know died a long time ago.  The Sonic that is now is a strange & scary person to me - like with Michael Jackson.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

You would be correct. For a long time, it was rumored, and now proven, that MJ did give a little help on sonic 3's music. Nothing official though...

Also, I thought a picture I was a while ago really represented what you guys are saying. It was a pic of MJ and a guy in a sonic costume. The caption read "They're both dead." I havent played the newer sonic games. The only "new" one I've played was sonic advance, which was pretty good, so I dont want to ruin sonic's reputation that I have by playing the newer games. Ill probably get sonic 4 as a cracked app, and if its even slightly mediocre, Ill buy it.

Yeah I've read about the MJ music in Sonic games too, and I think it's a proven fact. But I don't think that's a bad thing, Sonic and MJ are both some of the greatest names of the last millenium.
