I can't tell which is sexier, that copy of Castle of Deceit, or this pretty thing right here:
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

Awesome repros FamicomFreak! I love that kind of stuff. Do you plan to print out inserts and put them in clam cases too?

On a side note...

Got another little trinket today. I've been curious about this in terms of using it as a stand-alone bluetooth joystick for my iPad/iPhone. Works really well actually. Pair it with a tv-out cable and it's rather nice. I brought my smaller 13" PVM to my office at work and kept a tv-out cable hooked up to it. Every now and then I hook up my phone to it and bust out some emulators. The 8-bitty gamepad is nice, but I'd rather use a stick.

Trying out some PCE CD based games with it...

An improvement over the standard iCade unit I noticed is that the ball doesn't start to unscrew a bit after playing for a while. The balltop on this one fits tightly on. Stick has a tighter throw too which I like. It's also a decent weight for being mostly plastic. Not too big or too small either. Just right size to stow away in my cabinet at work. Also the price is right at about 30 shipped from Amazon via my prime membership.

Interesting game stick. To answer your question, yesh I'm working on the case art and manuals as well. Little by little though. I made a case art work for my copy of Tetris already lol

Here are a couple I've printed out. I did the Mario one but the Tetris I found online :p

Those look really nice. Are you printing those inserts yourself or taking them to a shop?

Also, who does your repros if you don't mind me asking?

I've only had one genny repro done in japanese megadrive cart case and insert style for the unfinished Ninja Gaiden proto. Funny thing is that after I had a guy custom make the insert, you started seeing it used on a lot of other people's repros.

Yeah, that's why I put my web address in the label I mean it may not do much but it's better than nothing. I do them all myself and print them myself as well. I just re-did the label art for my Famicom copy of Zelda a link to the past. The Chinese label had nothing to do with Zelda or Link... yuck!

That's very cool and extra points for doing the work yourself. Also love that doki doki panic in the clamshell!

By the way, what are you using for those clamshell cases?

Yeah some of the packaging for those chinese made carts can be pretty "interesting" lol.

Picked up a second Gateway DL27-1 yesterday afternoon. Basically a 27" CRT VGA monitor. I forgot how amazing stuff looks on this. Especially retro via an XRGB2+ or Dreamcast VGA adapter.

Dirty 68k emu, but still looks great. ChoRenSha 68k looks especially amazing.

Thanks! I re-did the Zelda 3 cart label since it was all stretched lol Are you talking about the type of paper I use for the case art?

Anyways, here are some finds from yesterday!

Continuous improvement, I like it.  ;)

Also digging that joystick. I like the design.

Picked up an interesting novelty. An MVS (arcade) NeoGeo Garou Mark of the Wolves in an AES (home system) cart shell. Will not play on an AES without adapter. Mainly bought it to get a cheap extra snaplock case and for the novelty factor. Would like to get an Omega CMVS console down the road and this would pair nicely with it.

Funky MVS (left) vs. real AES homecart (right)

Some repro posters of Dimahoo and Progear no Arashi. Need to do some trimming on the Progear on the right and some framing finagling.

Actually I meant the actual plastic clam shell cases themselves. Are they namcot cases or genesis etc?

That would be a cool thing to do for some of my pirate games that I don't want to spend a ton of money on to spruce them up a bit. Maybe print out a new sticker label and clam shell insert.

I just go to flea markets and buy the sport titles that nobody wants and use their cases for it. It's cheap and looks great ^_^
