I'd like to pick up a Gluk cart someday, but they're so damn expensive.

I just got done playing some Chuka Taisen. That's a fun, but tough, little horizontal shooter.

Ah, yeah the prices on those are absurd. As you know, I used to have a Sea of Dreamland Gluk cart. I liked that game, but at the time I was really desperate for money. What a coincidence you played Chuka Taisen, that's one of the games I have coming in the mail for me right now. Although I do have Cloud Master on Master System, I noticed the Famicom version has a few different levels and bosses.

So far today I've beaten Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu, and Don Doko Don 2 (without dying). Hiryu No Ken Special: Fighting Wars will be next.

Hoshi no Kirby, Recca, then Blade Buster.  I think Blade Buster is crying out for a longer timed game.  5 minutes isn't enough to get past two stages :(

Got a shipment of new FC carts in today from South Korea. It's even from the Gangnam district of Seoul. That's pretty neat. I've got seven games in here that I'd never played before, but I've only had time to test the first three: Ultraman Club, Magical Tururuuto-Kun 2, and Getsu Fuuma Den. All three seem pretty solid from my first playthroughs of them. I've already added Ultraman to my collection, and it's rare for me to add a game to my collection after only 10-15 minutes playing it. (I only keep the ones I know I'll play.)

Yes!!!! That is THE game, right there. Well the original Pizza Pop is. Pizza Pop Mary is almost the game. Glad you enjoyed it, hope you succeed at getting it a new label.

Last two games I beat:
Kero Kero Keroppi No Daibouken 2
Mitsume Ga Tooru

Just got done testing my last two games from the shipment: Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 2 and Cosmo Police Galivan. Both are impressive titles. KY2 is a huge improvement over the first one, which we got as Kid Niki. I never cared much for that game, but this sequel is better in every way possible. But Cosmo Police Galivan, wow. I don't know why we didn't get this on in the States. It's something else; I'm just hoping this game will be playable for me, since there is some in-game dialogue in Japanese. I hope I'm not missing too much.

Oh my God, you got Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 2? Congratulations, I love that game so much. The magic spells are fun to play around with, and the secret bonus rooms are so tough to find that I'm still discovering new ones. (And I've been a fan of this game since 2006)

Last game I played was Don Doko Don 2. Usually I beat this game without dying, this time I stupidly fell into a pit on stage 4, but played the game through from there. I think I'll give it a proper playthrough now, to make up for my poor performance yesterday.

Just spent a few minutes with a couple of my new arrivals: Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 2 and also Magical Taruruuto-Kun 2. Definitely collection-worthy. KY2 is so much better than Kid Niki that I can hardly believe it. I'm not sure if I like MT-K2 as much as the first one, but it's still solid.

Tell me about it... and I love the original Kid Niki, but KY2 is one of the best platformers ever. I'd also recommend you play Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 3, too... but it's completely different from the first two games. I'd consider it to be inferior to KY2, but it's still great in its own ways. In the 3rd installment, Yanchamaru looks completely different, and he uses a staff as his weapon, rather than a sword. Your default attack is firing a wave attack from the staff, and the staff can be used in many ways, including using it to bounce off of walls (similar to Ninja Gaiden's wall-jumping), bouncing on it to safely navigate through spikes and kill enemies (similar to Scrooge's cane in Ducktales), and poke upwards to hit enemies above you (similar to the upward spear thrust in Whomp 'Em). Oh yeah, and Yanchamaru has a slide, like Mega Man in this game. Another thing which sets this game apart from its predecessors is that rather than simply having to get to the end of each stage and fight the boss, you have to locate keys to open doors. Usually I hate non-linear exploring elements like these, but KY3 manages to include them without making it too confusing, so you don't feel lost or anything. The game retains the amazing boss battles of KY2, but bosses take many more hits to kill in KY3. So overall KY3 is an entirely different experience of KY1 and 2, but it's great in its own right.

Last game I played was Wanpaku Kokkun No Gourmet World/Panic Restaurant. In fact, I've beaten it six times so far today. Can't get enough of this game.

OZMA WARS

GRADIUS II
forget Salamander and Gradius...this is too difficoult. Frustrating. also for old players like I am.
But a must for yr. collection
summer 1984, JUNO FIRST, Konami, arcades just at the high school corner, 24 hours, 16 min. continuous playing, 1 game, 1 coin.

Started my day with a little bit of Getsu Fuuma Den, and just got done beating Double Dragon II for the first time (on "Normal" difficulty). Gotta love how the FC version has continues, since I needed two of them to beat the game. DDII is decent, though a bit anti-climactic in that the bad guys are less of a threat than the spike pits. Whose bright idea was it to have precision platforming in a game with a mook who can barely jump?

Beat Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (Samurai Pizza Cats) twice in a row this morning. The first time I performed extremely poorly against Karamaru, so I just had to redeem myself.

Played some Dian Shi Ma Li. I can now call my life (almost) complete.

Thanks Nightstar699!

Nightstar699

Ah, you're quite welcome! I'm glad you were finally able to rich, at long last.

Rockman 5 was the last game I played... next up, I'll play Wanpaku Kokkun No Gourmet World yet again.
