Kolibri is arguably the finest hummingbird-based shooter for the 32X.  It has a great atmosphere to it.

The Doom port was the only 32X game I had for like 8 years until I finally found some used games in a store while at college.  I don't remember the port being anything special.  It's missing many of the stages (size constraints?) and you can't even get the BFG-9000 without cheat codes!

I actually haven't played any of this stuff yet. I don't even have a 32x hooked up. It's going to be kind of a pain to set one up; my entertainment center probably weighs over 300 pounds thanks to my 32 inch CRT tv, so getting behind it to to mess with hookups is quite a chore.

I now have two 32x add-ons, with only one set of cables between them. I saw a mod online that shows how you can integrate the guts of a 32x directly inside of a Model-2 Genesis (apparently a fair bit of empty space in there). It would eliminate the need for the hookup and the second power supply. I have a spare Model-2 also, so I'm thinking of enlisting one of my tech guys to build one for me.

I've only played Primal Rage for the Genesis, and maybe the SNES (I think there's one for that too, right?). I really didn't care for the game, to be honest. Maybe it'll be more interesting on a more powerful console, but I won't get my hopes up. I'm not too huge on tournament fighters, and I tend to stick to the Mortal Kombat series when I am in the mood.

The 32x version of Doom is supposedly second only to the Atari Jaguar version in best emulating the original PC game. And I'm not planning to add a Jaguar to my console collection, as there just aren't enough games to interest me. I'm just not going to branch out beyond NES, Famicom, SNES, and Genesis. That's a lot of terrain, especially since the SNES plays GB thanks to the Super Game Boy. And my Genesis plays Master System via the Power Base Converter (and potentially now 32x).

Super Famicom Bible and NES/Famicom Bible. Both come in really nice packaging and contain both western and japanese hardware/software (and even homebrew). Very comprehensive (history, flyers, box art, etc... you name it).

Other stuff. dodonpachi saidaioujou

Pix'n Love puts out some awesome books.  Shame I can't read French :-[

stealthlurker

Yeah, they really put lots of love into their books. Some of their stuff is in English, but so many are not. Such a shame...

Ah, DoDonPachi Saidaioujou looks amazing, but sadly I don't believe it's region free like Mushihimesama Futari and ESPGaluda II were. I'm guessing you have a Japanese 360?
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

I see the preorder beta testing model Ouya!

stealthlurker

@Nightstar699

Yeah I have a japanese 360, however I heard that it was region free?

@The Uninvited Gremlin

Actually it is the standard release for everyone Ouya not a dev one.

NintendoKing

@StealthLurker
No, there is a DEV and a beta model. They are doing a rev 3 version for release, it has a different bios and slightly redesigned controller... That's why it was pushed back for a later release to the general public.
Your's is the beta model, the new ones that are release version are slightly better design.

stealthlurker

I thought the dev model was clear/translucent and they got their Ouyas months ahead of the rest of us?

I got mine maybe 3 weeks ago? Are you thinking of the next batch that will be sold at shops like Gamestop, etc?

.

NintendoKing

Yes; the new batch is upgraded from the one you received, they just implemented the need for upgrades 2 weeks ago.
