Speaking of Hades, I had a quick blast through the first world of Demon Returns, really nice game.

I then had a quick run on Dragon Fighter - just arrived (thanks Senseiman!) and really liking it so far, even if I did see the Game Over screen rather quickly.  Already looking forward to my next gaming session with that one...

Just finished The Legend Of Zelda Cartridge version for the Famicom awesome game by the way, and am now playing Gimmick but I am stuck on the pirate ship boss and cant figure out how to hit him a second time??
The first time is simple you just throw a star at him as he lands after he jumps over your head but then he runs at you straight on again and again causing me to lose energy and die. I tried jumping over him but he just follows along by jumping when I do and smashes into me like before.Anyone know how to kill this guy cause its starting to piss me off and I am about to throw this game at the wall and rip out the rest of my hair!! >:(

Thanks to Trenton, I finally played some Akumajō Densetsu (Castlevania 3) on a real TV. It felt amazing.   :gamer:

Nice, it's a hell of a game visually, phonically and interactively.  I always love seeing the mist effects on Stage 2 (not the clock tower).

Today I beat Japanese Super Mario Bros. 3, all eight worlds, in one sitting. Used my white Famicom. I don't think I've ever even pulled that off on the US version.

I've been playing a fair bit of my Asder 20-in-1 multicart over the past week or so, since it contains the six games from the Caltron 6-in-1, which is still needing to be beaten for the Beat Every NES Game Challenge on Nintendo Age.
Can Nintendo Age Beat Every NES Game in 2015?

Earlier I got the furthest I've ever gotten in Challenger. Only managed two of the key items though.  :gamer:

Famicom version of Athena is not the best of ports. You should play the arcade version at least. It's hard though.

The one saving grace in Athena on Famicom is that there's a secret trick that gives you every power-up. In games like that, it's best to use all the help you can get.  :gamer:

What is that trick?  I will try it out! :D

I'm working my way through the Pulse Line games.  Tonight, I'm playing Pinball and Donkey Kong 3.   :redcart:

That's an admirable approach, work through the entire library chronologically? :)

Thanks!  When/if I ever assemble a complete collection, I'm going to make it a point to do just that.  :)

Still need three Pulse Line games.  Fingers crossed, that'll be taken care of by the weekend.

In the first level, find the first small mushroom, stand on top of it, and crouch down. You'll receive the best sword, shield, helmet, and armor.  ;D
