50 yen is a great deal for such an awesome game.

Today's flea market finds:

Nothing too earth shattering, but I got all of these for cheap. The 68 in 1 pirate Famicom multicart contains about 7 unique games - including a hilarious hack of Mario Brothers with a giant Doraemon as the main character.

The PS1 didn't power on at first, fortunately only the main fuse was blown. After tweaking the laser slightly and making sure that it worked correctly, I gave it a generous bath on my tub with some laundry detergent and it turned out like this:

Not bad considering how terrible it was before ::).

I used to have that exact same model of router. It wasn't very good. :X

It's not a router, it's a network switch. My router is a Linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT and it seriously rocks - but I've run of LAN ports to plug computers into, so I picked this D-Link 5 port switch for a buck instead of paying nearly $20 for a new 7 port one 8).

I agree with you about D-Link routers not being so good, at least the recent ones. I had a refurbished DI-604 which worked like a charm for years until we got laptops and needed wireless, so I bought a new DI-524, that piece of shit was terribly unstable - it crashed a lot and the store wouldn't take it back because they couldn't find anything wrong with it >:(. I tried everything from firmware updates, replacing the AC adapter and even a cooling fan (!), but nothing helped. Tired of the BS I ditched the DI-524, bought a Linksys WRT54G, flashed it with DD-WRT and haven't looked back since 8).

Eventually it was discovered that turning off the wireless radio helped with stability on the DI-524, but that defeats the purpose of a wireless router in the first place! >:(

Also, thanks for the comments about the PS1 cleaning! :D
I've been playing Jumping Flash 2 on it using my friend's controllers & hookups. I really need to buy some controllers and cables of my own ::).

I got the mother of all finds!

A blue dev PS1, a green dev PS1, 2 green debug Gamecubes, a red dev gamecube and a whole load of PS2 external network HDDs..
The HDDs were all still new and even sealed in their shipping boxes direct from SONY!

Oh yeah, all this was free :D  I literally got sweaty palms the moment I saw them!  I have no room for them so I'll be selling them on as collectors quite like dekvits.

it is all still at work - I recently moved house and overloaded my poor new housemate with a ton of stuff.  I forgot to mention other goodies too - there was a big pile but mostly old controllers and source code and crap.  A scary sight.  Pics to come then :P  I might go and grab some more but I had to prioritise.  There were boxes full of just gamecube controllers, then one of steering wheels, then one of ps1 controllers then one of ps2 controllers and it just went on and on.  I think I grabbed the beautiful stuff.  I've wanted a red dev code GCN for ages now.

[UPDATE PICS]

...AAND this is why this stuff is so damn hard to get hold of!!

Just bought from a friend, a slim ps2, everything included, and 6 games for 30 dollars. Pretty good deal right there!
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...
