Gotta love the metal slimes.

I played Recca - got to the 3rd stage, which is way further than I normally get.

Threw in my 100000 in 2 cart and played some Mighty Final Fight to test out a new AV mod I had done (was BEAUTIFUL by the way.) Then my Fami died again. Yeesh. I think the cart edge connector is junk. Unit still powers up and gives me the gray screen, but it won't read any carts! And I forgot sandpaper at work :(

BTW, the AV mod is a clone of the Twin Fami circuit, installed on a rev7 HVC-001. Strong, clear picture, and almost zero jailbars. Still need to add a few caps on the CPU and PPU as filters, but WOW. Big improvement to the simple mod I was using. Just need to retr0brite my case, and get the thing running games consistently, and shes all done!

Any more info on that kit?  I'm after doing the same thing :)

Sounds ace though - look forward to seeing the final results!

Keroppi to Keroriinu no Splash Bomb! It was my first time trying it; it's a pretty decent Bomberman knock-off.

I played some more Dragon Quest. I traveled to Melkido and challenged the Golem at level 16. Darn he's strong! Even by exploiting his weakness I couldn't defeat him!

After failing to defeat the Golem I hunted some more metal slimes and trained outside of Domudora. At level 17 I learned the Behoimi spell (Healmore) so now I don't need to rely on herbs to heal in-battle anymore. This time the Golem was not a problem and I didn't even need to heal. I've only died twice in the game, so I had just enough gold to buy the Flame Sword (best sword until you find Sword of Loto) and the Mirror Shield (best shield in the game!).

I then went to search for the Armour of Loto. I met the guardian Demon Armour Knight. He was not a problem at all after I had sealed his magic with my Mahotoon spell to prevent him from putting me to sleep.

Now I have the best armour and shield in the game and the next best sword so there's literally nothing more to fear outside of the Dragon King's castle including poison swamps! I'm almost ready to enter the castle but I think I'll at least gain another level before doing that.

Little Nemo. As much as I love this game, I swear, if it had boss battles for every stage, it'd be an all-time top 10 for me.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

I love that game too. Here the Nemo comics isn't very known, so when I was younger I always wondered what movie Little Nemo was based on, it was clear that it was a movie-based game.

UglyJoe

Volguard II.  Got to area 3 this time :D

I've been playing "Ike Ike! Nekketsu Hockey-bu: Subette Koronde Dairantou". I've gotten to the 6th game and shit got hard. There's so many things wrong with the game it's not even funny. The controls simply suck, it's like controlling a tank, can hardly maneuver at all. You'll never get possession of the team mate closest to the puck nor can you manually request which player to control. You'll never be able to chase down the opponents as they're as quick or quicker than you. Controlling the goalkeeper also sucks, you're lucky if you manage to catch one while they bombard the net and you can't use your players to try to stop them either since you're controlling the friggin goalie. Their keeper on the other hand is godlike, you need super shots to score on him. However pulling of super shots are nigh impossible, the jump one is like frame perfect, the charge one takes forever and the opponents will of course stop you from even trying. I might be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what. Terrible game.

The last Famicom game I played is a pirate: Dragon Fighter.
It doesn't remind me of any other pirate fighting games like World Heroes 2, Kart Fighter, Street Fighter III or even Yoko's Street Fighter II.
This game has quite a good collision detection system and the special moves are done easily and that is great, altough the CPU players always tend to corner and annihilate you. It's a very difficult game. My greatest effort was winning 5 out of 10 opponents. Ah! There are limited continues: just 5 "credits".
Now Playing: Dragon Ball Fusions, Yggdra Union

Robocco Wars.  Once again, I got to the final boss (or what I assume is the final boss) and lost all my lives.  It's annoying when a game is dead simple up until the very end.  The difficulty spike is unnerving.

Yeah. I feel the same about Dragon Buster II. A HUGE game without password and a killer final boss that always kills me!   >:(

Twinbee 3. It was my first time playing it, and it's pretty decent.

And yeah, I remember the final boss being surprisingly hard in Robocco Wars too. I cut through most of the game on pretty much my first try, but I just hit a big boss and just fell apart.

Breeder (FDS).  All you do is distribute points to stats for robots, and then let two of them duel automatically.  The duels drag on a bit (you can cancel them, thankfully), but it's kinda fun tweaking the stats to try and get them to do what you want.
