Sounds about right. You can easily check game footage of all those on Youtube.

Can anyone tell me what game this piratecart contains?

UglyJoe

Looks like the cover art to Wai Wai World 2, but I don't know what's really on the cart.

fredJ

Would anyone know what this is perhaps?

Mahjong something or other. Quite frankly, I don't think it matters which one it is. :P

I think it is a not-for-sale of some kind. It usually looks like this

Could it be a pirate cart?

I'm pretty sure it's a pirate. I have a pirate copy of SMB where the label looks the same as the original, but the cartridge is baby blue.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

It says カセット (cassette) in Japanese so maybe it's not a Chinese pirate but I don't know.

Says "Sanma no Meitantei" but the label is not like any other Sanma I've seen... Also says Kobe Green Expo '85 on it. I know they gave away some carts at festivals in Japan - could this be one of those?

Also, should I remove the circular sticker or not?

fredJ

Well, it is a custom made label. Did they put on the sticker with the label? If you don't know, I'd just keep it on. Removing stickers could become ugly.

I dont have pictures but I recently got my hands on a cart with TMNT 2 sticker on it. However it was different from what I remember..

-it had the same title screen as this
http://goo.gl/0E2p7

-stage 1 was set on the beach (instead of a burning building)
-stage 1 boss is still bebop
-stage 2 is set on the ocean
-stage 2 boss is also rocksteady (i think) the design seems different from the original.

Anyways, does anyone know more precisely what this cart is?

Doesn't look like some kid made it though, looks like a real Namcot label on the cart (the spine label is different from the original). The circle was added after as well. Either way, I'll leave it as is.

It's TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project.  The first TMNT game for the NES was never released in Japan, so their numbering scheme is one behind the US numbering scheme.

Are you sure the title screen doesn't look like this, instead:

Butcherdeliz

Oh wait thats the right screen. My bad, I seem to have gotten my URLs crossed when I posted. Anyways thanks for the clarification. I got confused with the numbering and thought it was the arcade port. I only played 1 and 2 and never was able to play 3 (Turtles in Time) so I didnt recognize it.  :bub:
